  • Patent number: 8800883
Abstract: An actuator device including: a case housing an expandable material, a moving part that can move in translation as a result of the expansion and/or contraction of the expandable material, and a heater to heat the expandable material. The device also includes: a position sensor which measures the current position of the aforementioned moving part; and a positioner to position the moving part, including a controller acting on the above-mentioned heater according to the current measured position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 24, 2010
Date of Patent: August 12, 2014
Assignee: Commissariat a l'energie atomique et aux energies alternatives
Inventors: Bernard Guilhamat, Sebastien Dauve, Jonathan Fernandez, Florent Marquet
  • Publication number: 20120191408
Abstract: System for counting an elementary displacement of a person, comprising a casing and fixing means for securely tying said casing to a part of the body of said person, comprising: a magnetometer with at least one measurement axis; and calculation means adapted for performing, for each measurement axis, the scalar product of at least one temporal mask and of the component of the signal along the measurement axis over the duration of said mask.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 29, 2010
    Publication date: July 26, 2012
Applicants: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES, MOVEA
Inventors: Christelle Godin, Sébastien Dauve, François Favre Reguillon, Anthony Larue, Yanis Caritu, Sébastien Riccardi, Cyrille Soubeyrat, Bruno Flament, Aurélien Mayoue

  • Patent number: 8095333
Abstract: A location device is provided, in which the device is configured to be carried by a tire and wheel assembly so as to locate a right or left position of the assembly in a vehicle. The device includes two magnetic sensors with axes of maximum sensitivity; a measurement circuit for measuring a signal across terminals of each of the magnetic sensors, the measurement circuit being able to deliver two periodic signals phase-shifted with respect to one another and each periodic signal being representative of variations in values of a magnetic field detected by a corresponding magnetic sensor during a revolution of the tire and wheel assembly; and a calculation processor programmed to determine, based on the phase shift between the two periodic signals, a direction of rotation of the tire and wheel assembly, and to deduce from the direction of rotation and a direction of travel of the vehicle, a right or left location of the tire and wheel assembly.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 14, 2008
Date of Patent: January 10, 2012
Assignees: Michelin Recherche et Technique, S.A., TRW Automotive U.S., LLC
Inventors: Thierry Penot, Xavier Huchard, Christophe Villien, Sébastien Dauve, François Alcouffe
