    Abstract: Absolute body temperature measurement is not easy to obtain. The temperature probe has to be placed in body cavities or swallowed to get core body temperature. The skin temperature usually has no relation to core temperature making it impossible to use in wearable devices. The present invention measures body temperature differences to monitor body temperature changes due to fever to generate alarms if needed. The invention is also useful in monitoring body temperature change due to exercise, that can be used to calculate the calories burned during the exercise session, activity and sleep.
