Publication number: 20130069270Abstract: A granulating method is a method in which powder containing a water-soluble component is granulated. In the disclosed granulating method, a dispersion element, wherein fine water droplets are dispersed in superheated steam, is expelled from a nozzle, and thus the dispersion element and powder in a flowing state come into contact with one another. It is preferable that the mass ratio of superheated steam contained in the dispersion element, as a mass ratio found from the theoretical flow amount of superheated steam expelled from the nozzle, and the actual flow amount of water supplied to the nozzle, be set in a range of 20-70 mass %.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2010Publication date: March 21, 2013Applicants: POKKA CORPORATION, INCORPORATED ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCY NATIONAL AGRICUInventors: Itaru Sotome, Seiichiro Isobe, Takao Katagiri, Takashi Inoue, Hironobu Mano, Joju Niida, Hirokazu Takeuchi, TAkeshi Itou, Yuichiro Mizoguchi

Publication number: 20120230660Abstract: Provided are a method and device for generating a steam heating medium, the method involving generating, from a nozzle, Aqua-gas or low-temperature superheated steam that is a steam heating medium by operating an electrothermal-type generator or a steam-type generator. The method comprises the step of generating Aqua-gas by increasing a water supply amount in such a manner that an internal nozzle pressure takes on a constant value exceeding a saturated water vapor pressure of water at each internal nozzle pressure set temperature; or generating low-temperature superheated steam by reducing the water supply amount in such a manner that the internal nozzle pressure does not exceed the saturated water vapor pressure of water at each internal nozzle pressure set temperature, in a relational expression relating to a flow rate of water vapor sprayed from the nozzle, and given by Expression 1 or Expression 2, as prescribed in the present invention.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2010Publication date: September 13, 2012Applicants: Incorporated Administrative Agency National Agriculture and Food Research Organization, Umeda Jimusho Ltd., Taiyo Seisakusho Co., Ltd.Inventors: Itaru Sotome, Seiichiro Isobe, Yukio Ogasawara, Yositaka Nadachi

Patent number: 8257771Abstract: A method for heating and pasteurizing a material, comprising placing the material inside of a semi-sealed chamber at atmospheric pressure that contains an atmosphere produced by replacing air in the chamber with a gas component produced by spraying or injecting hot water droplets and steam at a temperature of at least 100° C. into the chamber which is heated to a temperature of at least 100° C. which is equal to or higher than the temperature of the sprayed hot water droplets and steam, which gas component has a humidity of at least 95% and contains no more than 1% oxygen; contacting said material to the gas component for exposing it to continual temperature variation during heating ranging from 10-50° C. inside the chamber at temperature(s) ranging from 90-180° C. for a time sufficient to heat or pasteurize it. An apparatus for performing this method.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2005Date of Patent: September 4, 2012Assignees: Umeda Jimusho Ltd., National Agriculture and Food Research Organization, Taiyo Seisakusho Co., Ltd.Inventors: Keiji Umeda, Yositaka Nadachi, Hiromu Shishido, Ryo Maruyama, Yukio Ogasawara, Takumi Yamamoto, Seiichiro Isobe

Patent number: 8180426Abstract: Data collected by a transcranial brain function measuring/stimulating method is accurately projected and displayed onto a brain surface. If there is no three-dimensional head image, data is projected and displayed onto the brain surface of a standard brain. The head surface coordinates are transformed to the brain surface coordinates of the brain surface underlying the head surface by, e.g., a minimum distance search method. The coordinates of a projected point on the brain surface of the head surface and the probability distribution are determined for a standard brain normalized with data on subjects.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2004Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Assignees: Shimadzu Corporation, National Food Research InstituteInventors: Ippeita Dan, Kuniko Sakamoto, Masako Okamoto, Seiichiro Isobe, Kaoru Kohyama, Koji Shimizu, Kazuhiro Takeo

Patent number: 5333556Abstract: A double-screw press for separating a liquid from a two-phase solid-liquid material includes a hollow barrel and two screws disposed in the barrel. The barrel comprises a plurality of detachable barrel plates and a plurality of spacers disposed between the barrel plates and cooperating with the barrel plates in defining slits. The screws are arranged side by side with a gap defined therebetween, and are rotated by a motor to move a material, which has been charged into the barrel, efficiently from an upstream end to a downstream end of the barrel. The barrel plates and the screws have respective passages connected to cooling water sources, which supply cooling water to keep the temperature in the screws and the barrel at a desired level. The charged material is crushed and mixed in the gap between the screws, and oil is expressed from the material when it is compressed in the barrel. The expressed oil is discharged through the slits and collected in a container.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1992Date of Patent: August 2, 1994Assignee: Director of National Food Research Institute, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and FisheriesInventors: Seiichiro Isobe, Akinori Noguchi, Kunihiko Uemura
