  • Patent number: 5403422
Abstract: A method for producing decorative plates, comprising the steps of (i) providing a transfer printing sheet which comprises (a) a substrate film comprising a synthetic resin, (b) a releasing layer formed, optionally, on the substrate film, (c) a pattern layer formed on the substrate film or on the releasing layer if it is provided, and (d) an adhesive layer formed on the pattern layer, (ii) superposing the transfer printing sheet on a base sheet, (iii) hot-pressing the transfer printing sheet and the base sheet, (iv) peeling the substrate film off the transfer printing sheet thereby to transfer the pattern layer on the base sheet, (v) impregnating the base sheet with a thermosetting resin, and (vi) hot-pressing the resulting base sheet to harden the thermosetting resin to give a decorative plate.

  • Patent number: 5376974
Abstract: A video detector has a PLL, a bias circuit, a synchronous detector for detecting a video IF signal by using the output of a VCO, and a lock detector for detecting whether the PLL is locked. The PLL has the VCO, a phase comparator, and a low-pass filter. In the video detector the supply of the direct current from the bias circuit is halted while said lock detector detects that the PLL is locked.

  • Patent number: 3996100
Abstract: The vented nuclear fuel element comprises a cladding tube containing nuclear fuel therein and a device disposed in the upper portion of the cladding tube for venting gaseous fission products released from the nuclear fuel. The venting device comprises a porous plug for closure of the top end of the venting tube, which plug has the property of getting wet with the surrounding coolant, two plates that in cooperation with the cladding tube define a chamber for holdup of the gaseous fission products, a capillary tube for introducing the gaseous fission products from the nuclear fuel into the upper portion of the chamber, another capillary tube for introducing the gaseous fission products from the lower portion of the chamber to the porous plug, and a check valve for preventing the gaseous fission products within the chamber from flowing back into the interior of the cladding tube.
