Abstract: In a multi-blade centrifugal fan in which an impeller is provided in a scroll casing in a freely rotatable manner, the scroll casing is provided with an axially expanded portion that forms an air channel at a bottom surface thereof which is expanded in a rotation-axis direction at a radially outer side of an annular flange portion which supports the impeller; and is provided, in a region of an outlet between a tongue portion and a spiral-end portion of the scroll casing in the axially expanded portion, with a protrusion that protrudes radially outward from a radially inner side surface by a predetermined amount so as to directly face an airflow in a circumferential direction.

Abstract: An auto-tensioner includes a plunger slidably inserted in a cylinder and having a closed front end protruding from the cylinder and an open rear end which is located in the cylinder. The plunger is formed with an internal thread on its inner periphery. A screw rod having an external thread formed on its outer periphery thereof and inserted in the plunger with its external thread in threaded engagement with the internal thread of the plunger. The screw rod has a rear end protruding from the open rear end of the plunger. A seat member is mounted in the cylinder and in abutment with the rear end of the screw rod. A return spring having one end thereof supported by the screw rod biases the plunger outwardly of the cylinder to press the closed front end of the plunger against a chain or a belt. An elastic member which is compressible in the axial direction of the cylinder supports the seat member.

Abstract: A mobile station transmits to a base station a plurality of pre-coding indicators using respective feedback schemes of a plurality of kinds of feedback schemes that can be set simultaneously by the base station. The mobile station receives from the base station a downlink signal on which pre-coders corresponding to one of the transmitted pre-coding indicators have been applied, and a pre-coder confirmation representing whether the corresponding pre-coders have been applied. The pre-coders represented by the pre-coder confirmation are associated with one of the plural feedback schemes.

Abstract: An adapter for controlling a first camera and a second camera, which exhibit differing operating characteristics, in a three-dimension (3D) camera imaging system. The adapter provides a camera control signal to the first camera to control operation of the first camera. The adapter converts the camera control signal to a second camera control signal utilizing information from the first and the second cameras indicative of imaging states of the cameras, and provides the second camera control signal to the second camera to control operation of the second camera. The conversion compensates for the differing operating characteristics of the first and second cameras.

Abstract: The present invention aims at providing motilin-like peptide compounds that maintain the gastrointestinal motility stimulating activity of native motilin and which are adapted to have higher absorbability upon transmucosal administration. Motilin derivatives were designed and synthesized in consideration of the pathway for the degradation of motilin at a site of its transmucosal absorption and the maintenance of motilin's physiological activity and compounds characterized by substitutions for the amino acid at position 21 of native motilin have been found to show higher absorbability upon transmucosal administration and yet maintain the same activity as motilin.

Abstract: A solder resist and a central pad to which a central Au bump provided on a semiconductor chip is flip-chip bonded are formed on a substrate main body. In a flip-chip mounting substrate where an underfill resin is provided after the semiconductor chip is mounted, a central opening portion for exposing the central pad is formed in the solder resist, and also, an edge portion forming the central opening portion of the solder resist is partially overlapped with the outer peripheral portion of the central pad.

Abstract: A tensioner assembly includes a pulley arm pivotable about a pivot shaft, and a tension pulley mounted on the pulley arm at its end remote from the pivot shaft and pressed against a belt to keep the tension of the belt. The tension pulley is rotatably mounted around a base portion of the pulley arm through a rolling bearing with the inner surface and axial rear end surface of the bearing inner race in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the base portion and an end surface of a shoulder of the base portion, respectively. The base portion has an axial through hole formed with an internal thread on its inner surface. A support bolt is threaded into the through hole from the axial front end to press the rolling bearing against the end surface of the shoulder. The internal thread has an axial front end located in the vicinity of, or axially rearwardly of, the end surface of the shoulder.

Abstract: A hydraulic auto-tensioner includes a cylinder containing hydraulic oil, a rod inserted in the cylinder, and two coupling pieces mounted to the bottom of the cylinder and the top end of the rod, respectively. A support ring is inserted in the mounting hole of each coupling piece, and a bush is inserted in the support ring. One of the radially inner surface of the mounting hole and the radially outer surface of the support ring is a curved surface such that the support ring is alignable. Radially outwardly extending flanges are formed at one end of the support ring and at the other end of the bush such that the flanges axially face the respective end surfaces of the coupling piece with gaps left therebetween. A coupling arrangement is provided between the support ring and the bush which is adapted to engage both the support ring and the bush when the bush is inserted into the support ring, thereby axially inseparably coupling them together.
