  • Patent number: 8164638
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to process at high speed the foreground component image and the background component image of picked up images on a network platform. A client computer 27 outputs information specifying image data desired to separate to a separation server 11. The separation server 11 obtains the specified image data from a storage server 18 and outputs it to a motion detecting server 12 to perform motion detection processing. Thereafter, the image data, motion vector and positional information are output to an area specifying server 13. The area specifying server 13 generates area information of the image data and outputs the area information to a mixture ratio calculating server 14 in addition to the image data, the motion vector and the positional information.

  • Patent number: 8134613
Abstract: The present invention particularly relates to an image processing apparatus in which motion blur contained in a blurred image can be eliminated. An area specifying unit 103 specifies a non-mixed area formed of a foreground area consisting of foreground object components which form a foreground object and a background area consisting of background object components which form a background object, or a mixed area in which the foreground object components and the background object components are mixed. A separating/blur-eliminating unit 1503 simultaneously performs processing for separating the foreground object components and the background object components from the pixel data of the mixed area and processing for eliminating motion blur from the separated foreground object components based on a result obtained by specifying the area. The present invention is applicable to an image processing apparatus in which a difference between a signal detected by an image-capturing device and the real world is considered.

  • Patent number: 7991078
Abstract: In a signal processing apparatus adapted to process a signal transmitted via a transmission path, distortion of a waveform of a signal value of a specific symbol is predicted on the basis of a characteristic of distortion depending on values of symbols transmitted before the specific symbol, and the distortion is removed from the waveform of the received signal thereby producing a distortion-removed waveform. A comparison value is calculated for each allowable value of the specific symbol by subtracting a predicted signal value of the specific value from the distortion-removed waveform. A symbol value corresponding to the smallest comparison value is determined as the value of the specific symbol. An error suspicion level value indicating the degree of suspicion of being incorrect is calculated for each of the predetermined number of symbols, and already determined values of symbols are corrected in accordance with the error suspicion level values.

  • Patent number: 7970968
Abstract: This invention relates to an information-signal-processing apparatus etc. for performing a series of processing pieces by using plural functional blocks in response to any information signals, in which functions can be easily upgraded through version upgrading of the functional blocks. Control block 110 issues a common command and transmits it to a control block 120 via a control bus 111. Control I/F 120 of the functional block 120 converts this common command into an intra-functional-block command if the common command is the common command related to its own functional block, and supplies the functional section 120e with it. This enables the functional block 120 to operate adaptively in accordance with the common command. When performing upgrade of the functions by the version updating of a predetermined function block, the common command need not be changed.

Abstract: In a signal processing apparatus adapted to process a signal transmitted via a transmission path, an acquisition unit acquires a signal value of a specific symbol from a signal transmitted via the transmission path, and a prediction unit predicts a signal value of the specific symbol for each of values allowed to be taken by the specific symbol, on the basis of values taken by a plurality of symbols transmitted before the transmission of the specific symbol and on the basis of characteristics of influences of the signal values of the plurality of symbols transmitted before the transmission of the specific symbol on the signal value of the specific symbol. A determination unit determines the value taken by the specific symbol, on the basis of the signal value of the specific symbol acquired by the acquisition unit and the predicted values for respective values allowed to be taken by the specific symbol.
