  • Patent number: 7221923
Abstract: A receiving apparatus which appropriately selects one out of a plurality of antennae for reception. The receiving apparatus is provided with a reception means for receiving a radio wave via an antenna selected out of the plurality of antennae by a selection means, a reception level signal creation means for creating a reception level signal indicative of reception electric field strength for the received radio wave, an extraction means for eliminating the basic wave components of the radio wave from the reception level signal to create the multiple propagating components of the radio wave in the reception level signal as a multiple propagating wave strength signal, and a reception level signal correction means for correcting the reception level signal by using the multiple propagating wave strength signal to create a corrected reception level signal without the multiple propagating wave components.

  • Patent number: 6101391
Abstract: A base station calculates distances to respective mobile stations and transmits the distances, and a control station determines positions of respective mobile stations based on the distances between plural base stations and respective mobile stations. The control station previously stores the same identification code for specific plural mobile stations, and examines whether or not any other mobile station having the same identification code exists within a range scale designated by one of the specific plural mobile stations, and then gives notice of the search result to one of specific plural mobile stations via the base station.

  • Patent number: 6052567
Abstract: In a compact portable telephone, a rotational shaft portion of a microphone arm is freely rotatably coupled to the bottom portion of the housing, and it is used in a first state where the housing and the microphone arm are aligned with each other and in a second state where they are intersected to each other at a predetermined angle. A microphone and a helical antenna are contained in the microphone arm, and the length of the microphone arm is set so that the helical antenna is located at a position higher than the upper surface of the housing in the state where the microphone arm is aligned with the housing, thereby avoiding effecting the antenna by the ground conductor and the shield case of the circuit board in the housing.

  • Patent number: 5862181
Abstract: A transmitter-receiver can eliminate a distortion of a transmission signal by a simple arrangement. In a transmitter-receiver of a communication system wherein a transmission timing and a reception timing are different from each other, comparing circuits (6I, 6Q) compare a transmission signal, which is not yet amplified in a transmission-system circuit, and a reception signal in a reception-system circuit during a transmission timing period. Differences detected by the comparing circuits (6I, 6Q) are fed back to signal-compensators (5I, 5Q) inserted into the transmission-system circuit, thereby eliminating a distortion generated in a transmission signal of the transmission-system circuit.

  • Patent number: 5805666
Abstract: When a portable terminal apparatus such as a radiotelephone malfumctions, such status can be detected, and it is diagnosed whether the portable terminal apparatus is out of order. Thus, the portable terminal apparatus can be maintained efficiently. The portable terminal apparatus includes a reception state detecting unit for analyzing a reception state of a receiving unit, and a display unit for displaying a message on the basis of an analyzed state at the reception state detecting unit, thereby when a failure of connection or maintenance of the communication network is detected, a predetermined message is displayed on the display unit. Further, the portable terminal apparatus includes a memory for storing log data concerning communication with a base station when the control circuitry detects a failure of communication.
