Abstract: Example methods and systems are directed to providing multi-dimensional search results. A source (e.g., a closed captioning stream) may provide a series of keywords. The series of keywords may be used to generate a series of searches. The results from the searches may be presented as part of a user interface in a grid. For example, one row may be presented for each keyword, with the row for the keyword containing the results from searching using that keyword. Alternatively, one column may be presented for each keyword, with the column for the keyword containing the results from searching using that keyword. The series of keywords may be generated once. Alternatively, new keywords may be periodically added to the series of keywords, causing the grid to be updated. Old keywords and their corresponding search results may periodically be removed from the grid.

Abstract: A method of allowing a user to shop for items in a media broadcast context is disclosed. It is detected that a user is consuming a media broadcast. Items related to the media broadcast are identified. Correspondences between the identified items and listings of the items on a network-based publication system (e.g., eBay, Amazon.com, or Craigslist) are determined. The user is presented with options to perform actions with respect to the items or listings of the items.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided including a processor, a memory, and a vehicle tracking portal. The vehicle tracking portal is configured to obtain vehicle identification information regarding a vehicle. Then diagnostic information regarding the vehicle can be obtained. Then, based on the vehicle identification and the diagnostic information, a recommended service for the vehicle can be determined. A user can then be alerted to the recommended service.

Abstract: A method of automatically performing a search based on user interest detected in a vehicle is provided. A user interest of a user in a vehicle is detected by examining sensor information from one or more sensors in the vehicle. A search is automatically performed for items relevant to the user interest. A user interface in the vehicle is then caused to display the items relevant to the user interest.

Abstract: A method of dynamically altering a user interface based on safety level is provided. A user interface is provided to a user in a vehicle with the user interface including a selectable option to wirelessly place a bid on an electronic auction. The selectable option is based, at least in part, on an auction parameter. A safety level score is then determined for the vehicle. The auction parameter is then dynamically altered based on the speed of the vehicle, resulting in a change to the selectable option.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing an enhanced user experience at an event or venue are provided. The systems and methods provided herein provide venue-specific location-based services to the user through the user's mobile device. Such services include allowing a user to order merchandise and concessions from their seat using their mobile device and delivering the ordered items to their seat. Such services also include determining a user's seat location from a scanned code on the user's ticket and providing a map to and from their seat.

Abstract: A method and a system to provide a supplemental experience based on concurrently viewed content is provided. The system comprises an identification module to identify, at a user device, concurrently viewed content assigned a content identifier via communication with one or more components of a home theatre. The system further comprises a curation module to identify one or more listings describing items for sale based on keywords mapped to the content identifier and provide a user interface including the listings to the user device.

Abstract: A seller device executing a seller module captures an image of an item available for purchase and uploads the image to a host machine. The host machine receives the image of the item and provides the image and a seller address to a buyer device. The buyer device executing a buyer module presents the image and the seller address to a user. The seller address is usable to initiate a communication with the seller of the item. The host machine may provide the seller module to the seller device, and the host machine may provide the buyer module to the buyer device. The host machine may also communicate the image to an advertisement server configured to publish the image as a listing of the item.

Abstract: Methods and systems to rate an originator of an online publication are provided. An example may include tracking user inputs associated with multiple online publications. Some examples may include using the tracked user inputs to calculate a publication rating for each of the online publications. In one example, the publication ratings may be used to calculate an originator rating, which may be provided for display and rates the originator.

Abstract: A system and method for providing automatic advertising and category distribution for online computer users is disclosed. A particular embodiment includes obtaining a listing for posting in a plurality of regions; generating a unique global ad identifier for the listing; processing the listing according to a set of pre-defined rules related to posting a listing in the plurality of regions, the processed listing being modified to produce a first version of the listing for posting in a first region and a different second version of the listing for posting in a second region; associating the global ad identifier with the first and second versions of the listing; and making the first version of the listing available for viewing by a first user in the first region and making the different second version of the listing available for viewing by a second user in the second region.

Abstract: A system and method for providing automatic advertising distribution for online computer users is disclosed. A particular embodiment includes obtaining a listing posted by a first user in a first region; processing the listing according to a set of pre-defined rules related to posting a listing in a second region, the processed listing being modified to produce a second version of the listing; pushing the second version of the listing to a server in the second region; and making the second version of the listing available for viewing by a second user in the second region.
