The lift assembly includes an expanded position and a retracted position. The expanded position includes an increased distance between the seat pad and the chair base frame, and the retracted position includes a decreased distance between the seat pad and the chair base frame. Therefore, a child may be boosted upward on the chair without the need of an extra booster seat.
