Abstract: The present invention relates to a file management method of prohibiting copy of a file and change of a file name or a directory of a file which is recorded in a disk recording medium such as a rewritable digital versatile disk (DVD). The present file management method for a recorded digital stream according writes, in a writable disk, file describing information comprising file attributes for informing whether to prohibit renaming of file, directory change, or file copy, and determines whether to conduct a requested renaming of file, directory change, or file copy based on the written file attributes contained in the file describing information, thereby basically preventing disk reproduction fail caused by file or directory change of files containing A/V digital data stream as well as copyright infringement caused by copying the digital stream files recorded in a rewritable disk.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a file management method of digital data stream recorded or to be record in a rewritable disk. A file management method checks file names and directories of files written in the rewritable disk, and outputs a message indicating that reproduction is impossible when the file names and directories do not conform to the standard file scheme pre-specified for a disk containing real-time data file. Another file management method checks a file name and directory of a file requested to be recorded in the rewritable disk, and outputs a message indicating that reproduction would fail later if recorded as requested when the file name and/or the directory is against the standard file scheme.

Abstract: An apparatus for selecting multi-angle of a DVD which plays a digital signal formatted in a disc through an optical pickup, includes a memory for storing an angle block set by a user, a controller for outputting angle varying command depending on the set angle block and time periods if the angle block has been set in the memory in the event of playing the DVD, and a servo for playing data corresponding to the angle screen at a predetermined period by jumping the optical pickup to a corresponding angle data depending on the angle varying command of the controller. A method for selecting multi-angle of a DVD includes the steps of displaying an OSD screen which provides a menu screen, setting a user's desired angle block and time periods, and storing the set angle block and time periods.
