  • Patent number: 5900626
Abstract: There is disclosed a non-contact type mode sensing device for use in an electric appliance. The mode sensing device comprises a stationary body, a driven gear rotatably fixed on the pin of the stationary body, and an optical coupler having a light emitter and a light receiver. The driven gear is provided with a circular reflective track formed on the bottom surface thereof. A plurality of reflective portions are formed, along a circular track, on a bottom surface of the driven gear. The reflective portions have different arcuate lengths from one another. The light beam emitted by the emitter of the optical coupler is reflected by the reflective portions and received at the receiver during the rotation of the driven gear, thereby allowing the optical coupler to produce signals in response to the presence or absence of the light reflected by the reflective portions.

  • Patent number: 5845834
Abstract: A VCR having a capstan brake device has a flywheel having a friction plane on the lower portion thereof. The flywheel is installed to one end of a capstan shaft piercing through a chassis, and a brake member is installed to one side of the flywheel for swinging toward the friction plane. The brake member is installed with a hinge-coupled fixing rod and a fixedly-coupled operating rod and support rod. The support rod sets the brake member to an applying state by a spring, and the operating rod sets the brake member to a releasing state by a cam having a guide groove and an operating groove. Thus, rotating speed of the flywheel is constantly decelerated, and the operation of the brake member is promptly and accurately carried out.

  • Patent number: 5775615
Abstract: A VCR has a reel sensor prism device fabricated by being separated into a scattering member and a fixing member. The scattering member includes a cylindrical body part for transmitting light and a head formed to the upper portion of the body part for scattering the light. A fixing member is formed with a center hole of being inserted with the body part of the scattering member, and two pairs of hooks are formed to the lower end. A base for supporting and fixing the fixing member is formed with two pairs of hook holes and a thruhole for passing the light generated from a reel sensor light emitting part therethrough. By this construction, the light generated from the reel sensor light emitting part is prevented from being scattered at the body part to minimize loss of the transmitted light, thereby maximizing the transmitting effect of the light and preventing a malfunction of the VCR.

  • Patent number: 5725171
Abstract: A VCR having a reel brake device is formed with plural friction projections arranged along the outer circumference of a reel table at a regular interval and plural correspondent projections having the identical pitch on a felt surface of a brake member closely attached to the friction projections. Once the brake is to be applied in a released state, the VCR produces a secure braking force by a frictional force between the friction projections and correspondent projections to prevent slack of a tape and degradation of picture quality.

  • Patent number: 5724214
Abstract: The present invention is related to a discharging device for a head drum, and more particularly to a discharging device, wherein the static electricity which occurred from the head drum is effectively discharged using the discharge device. A fixed end of a bracket is fixed on a main chassis by a screw, and a free end forms a bracket protrusion. A coil spring is put on the free end of the bracket. A first end of a leaf spring is put inside the coil spring together with the free end of the bracket, and the first end forms a leaf spring protrusion. A tip is installed between a second end of the leaf spring and the head drum. Static electricity transmitted to the tip is transmitted to the bracket via the leaf spring. Then, static electricity is discharged through the main chassis. Thus, this discharging device can improve productivity since extra riveting or bonding is unnecessary.

  • Patent number: 5716019
Abstract: A VCR having a reel gear brake device is formed with a friction plane along the circumferential plane of a reel gear, and a brake member arranged to be able to swing about a hinge shaft toward the friction plane by a predetermined angle. An operational spring is installed between one end of the brake member and a brake operating member, and one end of the brake member projects to extend for forming an elastic beam. A control cam eccentrically rotated at the center of the elastic beam is closely installed for minutely controlling the braking force of the brake member since the elastic force of the elastic beam is changed in accordance with the rotated positions of the control cam. Thus, the operation of the brake member is maintained in the optimum state and manufacturing cost is lowered to enhance assembling productivity while the construction is simplified.
