    Abstract: The present invention discloses an encoding apparatus using a Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) scanning, which includes a mode selection means for selecting an optimal mode for intra prediction; an intra prediction means for performing intra prediction onto video inputted based on the mode selected in the mode selection means; a DCT and quantization means for performing DCT and quantization onto residual coefficients of a block outputted from the intra prediction means; and an entropy encoding means for performing entropy encoding onto DCT coefficients acquired from the DCT and quantization by using a scanning mode decided based on pixel similarity of the residual coefficients.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling backup data by using a snapshot type image table, the method including: assigning a snapshot table area; storing as first snapshot information a data size, a position address, and a time of data of the hard disk in the snapshot table area; storing as second snapshot information a data size designated from a data size of the first snapshot information, a position address, and a time of the added or removed data; respectively displaying and recording unique names, and data sizes and storage times, and displaying in a searchable list; and removing a connection to removed data, and maintaining a connection to added data. Accordingly, the method recovers and protects unexpected damaged data by assigning a snapshot table area with a minimum, and structurizing and recording in advance an address and a property of stored data.

    Abstract: A system and method for cloud scheme-based file copying and disk cloning over a Wide Area Network (WAN) is provided. The system clones a disk of a server to one or more clients. The server includes a cloud cast server module, and an Internet Virtual Partition (IVP) server module. The cloud cast server module receives an image source drive, and designates the received image source drive as a cloud disk. The IVP server module is loaded into RAM, receives a disk management and control right, clones a file system, receives a request for mount, sends the file system and a file. Each of the clients includes a cloud cast client module for receiving the name of a drive and a mount request, requesting the IVP server module to mount the cloud disk, loading the received cloned file system, creating a virtual disk, and creating its own copy file system.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a network hard disk copy system for managing multiple clients. The system includes a main PC and sub PCs. The main PC generates a check parity signal, transmits it to sub PCs, receives response messages from the sub PCs, checks arrival times of the response messages, determines sub PCs which sent the response messages within a reference time to be those of a first group, copies data to the sub PCs of the first group, divides sub PCs which could not send the response messages within the reference time into groups, classifies sub PCs having faster response message arrival times as sub PCs of a higher group, generates and transmits global group information to sub PCs, and transmits group information output signals. The sub PCs extract their own group information from the global group information, and generate and output background images including the group information.
