Publication number: 20150121774Abstract: The invention concerns an arrangement for attaching panels to support structures, a construction support structure, fastening means for panel elements and the use of such panel elements to create modular room building elements, e.g. wet-rooms. The inventive arrangement is based on fastening means having an skillet attachment strip made of a sheet-like material having a first edge and an integral tab having a second edge. The tab is then formed as a clip protruding transversally from the strip and having a first side and a second side and with a generally nose-shaped tab on the first side. In the support structure is provided a notch for receiving the clip in a locking engagement, with a cross-section having a first side and a second side, a waist part that is narrower than the dimension of the clip and including an integral element formed as a tongue on said first side.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2014Publication date: May 7, 2015Inventor: Seppo Pienimaa

Patent number: 8629855Abstract: An apparatus operable in touch-input mode and scanning mode uses a light guide and a camera to look through a slanted facet at one corner of the light guide. The light guide has an upper surface for placing a touch object or an item for scanning. An angular sensitive grating is located on lower surface having fringes such that when a light beam directed from a location P on upper surface toward lower surface at a predefined direction, it is diffracted by the grating and guided toward the slanted facet. The diffracted beam exits the slanted facet at an exiting angle indicative of the location P. When an object or item is placed on upper surface, it causes changes in exit beam intensity. From exiting angles and intensity changes, a camera is able to locate touch objects or to acquire an image of the scanned item.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2007Date of Patent: January 14, 2014Assignee: Nokia CorporationInventors: Seppo Pienimaa, Kong Qiao Wang

Patent number: 8120762Abstract: A light guide has a first surface and a second surface with diffractive structures. A slanted facet is provided at one corner of the light guide. The diffractive structures have concentric fringes centered near the slanted facet. Fringes are arranged such that a light beam directed from the first surface at a location P toward the second surface is diffracted by the fringes only if the beam encounters the diffractive structures at a certain direction. The diffracted beam is guided and exits through the slanted surface at an exiting angle, which is correlated to the location P. If the light guide is illuminated in such a way that when an object is present at the first surface, it changes the light intensity of the exiting light beam. By detecting the exiting angle and the change of light intensity, the location of the object can be determined.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2008Date of Patent: February 21, 2012Assignee: Nokia CorporationInventors: Tapani Levola, Seppo Pienimaa

Patent number: 6110563Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for shielding an electronic means (40, 41) against external electromagnetic interference on one hand, and preventing the electronic means from interfering with closeby electric devices on the other hand. According to the invention, a shielding film (42, 43) with one or more layers is formed comprising one or more intrinsically conductive polymer films (43) and one or more insulating films (42). The shielding film (42, 43) so formed is attached to the surface of the electronic means (40, 41) using a heat treatment or a vacuum treatment or the combination of the two and, if necessary, a separate layer of glue. The invention also relates to a method for electrically connecting (44, 45, 46, 47) the intrinsic polymer layer (43) reliably to the electronic means (40, 41). The invention further relates to a method for using the electromagnetic shield to form capacitors and resistors for the electronic means.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1996Date of Patent: August 29, 2000Assignee: Nokia Mobile Phones, Ltd.Inventors: Seppo Pienimaa, Tapio Taka, Heikki Isotalo, Salme Jussila, Olli Salmela, Henrik Stubb

Patent number: 6073829Abstract: The invention is related to a method of fabricating an attachment bump of a component (11). In accordance with the invention, a flexible preform (13a) is fabricated, which is plated with materials (13b) appropriate for metallurgical bonding. The invention is also related to a method of attaching a component (11) to the surface of a circuit card (15) using bumps. In accordance with the invention, bumps are formed from preforms (13a) made from a flexible material, which preforms (13a) are metallized (13b) over their entire surface. The bump (13a, 13b) is attached to the attachment pads (12a, 16a) of the component (11) and the circuit card (15) by means of metallizations (12b, 13b, 16b) between the attachment pads and the bump. The bond is formed metallurgically by transfusion. The surface of the bonding side of the component (11) is coated with an insulating material (14) before the mentioned bonding elsewhere than at the attachment pads (12).Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 1998Date of Patent: June 13, 2000Assignee: Nokia Mobile Phones LimitedInventor: Seppo Pienimaa

Patent number: 5665525Abstract: A method for producing printed circuit boards (PCB), wherein a base material of a PCB, having copper claddings respectively on its opposed faces, is subject to the following subsequent processing steps. Holes are punched in the base material and claddings. The copper claddings are cleaned and deburred by mechanical and/or chemical techniques. Using image transfer and etching techniques, a pattern is produced in the cladding layers that exposes surface portions and leaves cladding portions adjacent to the holes of the base material. A photoimageable polymer insulating layer is applied to the exposed surfaces of the PCB base material and to the remaining pattern of cladding. The PCB is subjected to exposure and development, which exposes selected portions of the cladding layers including cladding portions adjacent to the holes. The opposite faces of the PCB are subjected to an adhesion improvement and activation treatment necessary for chemical deposition of metal.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 1995Date of Patent: September 9, 1997Assignee: Nokia Mobile Phones Ltd.Inventor: Seppo Pienimaa

Patent number: 4711688Abstract: In the present publication a method is described for encapsulating of components (3), in particular of semiconductor components, mounted on a carrier tape (6) by means of a polymer in order to prevent access of moisture into the component (3). According to the invention a polymer film (24, 25) is pressed onto the support area (2) of each component (3) from both sides of the carrier tape (6), and the carrier tape (6) treated in this way is subjected to warm-air blasting (14). Thereupon, an encapsulating tape (9) that has been moistened with polymer (13) and subjected to a warm-air treatment (15) is connected to one side of the carrier tape (6), and the combination tape (6, 9) in this way obtained is heated in a pre-heating oven (16).Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1985Date of Patent: December 8, 1987Assignee: Oy Lohja ABInventor: Seppo Pienimaa
