  • Patent number: 9040474
Abstract: A granulated foam control composition comprises a foam control agent based on a polydiorganosiloxane fluid, an organic additive of melting point 45?17C to 100° C. comprising a polyol ester, a water-soluble particulate inorganic carrier and a polymer having a net cationic charge. The mean number of carbon atoms in the organo groups of the polydiorganosiloxane fluid is at least 1.3. The foam control agent includes a hydrophobic filler dispersed in the polydiorganosiloxane fluid, and optionally an organosilicone resin. The polyol ester is miscible with the polydiorganosiloxane fluid.

  • Publication number: 20080209645
Abstract: A surface treatment composition comprising at least one saccharide-siloxane copolymer having a saccharide component and an organosiloxane component and linked by a linking group, wherein the saccharide-siloxane copolymer has a specified formula and the surface treatment composition is adapted to provide at least one benefit to a surface to which it is applied, is provided. Dispersions and emulsions comprising the saccharide-siloxane copolymer, and treatment compositions comprising the emulsions and/or dispersions are also provided. The invention further provides methods and articles of manufacture comprising the inventive compositions.

  • Publication number: 20040116316
Abstract: In an agglomeration process for the preparation of granules encapsulating a hydrophobic active material, the active material and a molten binder which has a melting point above ambient temperature are sprayed onto water soluble carrier particles while agitating the particles. A liquid which interacts exothermically with the carrier particles is sprayed onto the carrier particles separately from and just before or simultaneously with the active material and binder, so that the heat generated by the interaction reduces the cooling rate of the binder during the agglomeration process. For example the liquid can be water when the carrier particles have a positive heat of hydration and/or solution by water.

  • Patent number: 6395790
Abstract: An oil-in-water emulsion composition comprising 0.5% to 20% by weight of a cationic emulsifier, up to 75% by weight of siloxane and water, wherein the siloxane is liquid and has units according to the formula Ra Si O4−a/2 wherein R is hydrocarbon or OH and a is 0 to 3 and wherein the cationic emulsifier is free from halogen in its counter ion, preferably methosulphate, etho-sulphate, acetate, tosylate, phosphate or nitrate. The siloxane preferably has a viscosity at 25° C. of from 10,000 to 1,000,000 mPa.s and is selected from polydimethyl siloxanes and polydimethyl polymethyl phenyl siloxanes. Also covered is a process of depositing siloxanes from such siloxanes.
