  • Patent number: 7279030
Abstract: A rotary filter is disclosed, comprising filtering cells rotating in a circular movement, including a fixed collector portion comprising at least two compartments each having arc-shaped upward opening and a central separator chamber, including a downward opening communicating the separator chamber with each of said compartments, said downward opening being arranged at a level lower than said upward opening of each of the compartments, the downward opening of the central separator chamber and the upward opening of each compartment of the collector portion partly overlapping in vertical projection.

  • Publication number: 20070193943
Abstract: The invention relates to a rail (1) comprising a rotating frame for a filtration device comprising filter cells which are disposed in the form of a carousel. The invention comprises: a first flange (2) which is cut in the shape of a circular or polygonal ring, a second flange (3) which is cut in the shape of a second circular or polygonal ring segment, a core (10) which is welded transversely to the inner surfaces (4, 6) of the flanges (2, 3) such as to form a H-shaped rail, and a wear plate (8) which is fixed to the outer surface (7) of the second flange. According to the invention, the aforementioned core (10) is formed from at least two steel crossties (11, 12) which are curved or folded parallel to on another and which are welded to the inner surfaces (4, 6) of the flanges (2, 3). Moreover, the second flange (3) and the wear plate (8) are provided with holes (13, 14) in which fixing elements (15) are disposed in order to fix the wear plate to the second flange in a detachable manner.

  • Publication number: 20070175813
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for supporting the rotating frame (1) of a filtration installation comprising filter cells which are disposed in the form of a carousel. The invention comprises: support rollers (2), and a fixed bearing (11) which supports each roller such as to enable same to pivot. According to the invention, the bearing comprises a first arm and a second arm (10) which are disposed on either side of the roller. The invention is characterised in that, depending on the forces applied to the roller by the rotating frame, the first arm moves from a first bending state to a second bending state and vice versa, independently of the bending state of the second arm, and the second arm moves from a first bending state to a second bending state and vice versa, independently of the bending state of the first arm.

  • Publication number: 20040089599
Abstract: A continuous fluid filtration device having filtration cells disposed in a carousel around a rotation axis so as to be able to pivot about a tilt axis including apparatus for discharging the filtrate from the cells with at least one outlet orifice at the bottom of each cell, a central collector and a connection allowing flow of the filtrate between the outlet orifice and the collector, where the connection for each cell includes a flexible conduit in which, in the filtration position of the cell, no area of the flexible conduit is lower than another area of the conduit situated downstream with respect to the flow of the filtrate, the flexible conduit being arranged so as not to undergo any elongation during tilting of the cell.

  • Patent number: 5296140
Abstract: A continuous filtration device, comprising cells (1) arranged in a carousel around an axis of rotation and each presenting a horizontal axis of tilt, follower elements (9, 10), carried by a lever (7), at least one stationary guiding element (13, 14) for each of the follower elements, an additional lever (21, 22) fixedly connected to each cell, a mobile stop (23, 24) and an elastic element (29, 30) connecting the stop to a fixed support (25, 26) and acting on the stop in a first direction, the additional lever cooperating with the stop by acting on it in directions always approximately opposite to the aforesaid first direction.

  • Patent number: 5087363
Abstract: The filtering cell includes a tank having a base wall and a filter bed supported above the base wall which divides the tank into an upper compartment for receiving a substance to be filtered and a lower compartment for receiving a filtrate. The base wall includes an inclined end section adjoining an inclined drainage channel and further includes flow-off sections arranged on either side of the drainage channel. Because the drainage channel does not extend the full length of the cell, it can have a greater slope than in prior art cells, thereby enhancing fluid flow through the cell.
