  • Publication number: 20070173365
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for driving auxiliary machines of a multi-shaft gas turbine engine with an LP shaft and an HP shaft, the said machines being installed in a gearbox and the device comprising a first mechanical transmission between the shaft of the HP shaft and the said gearbox, characterized in that it also comprises a hydraulic transmission between the shaft of the LP shaft and the said gearbox. The solution of the invention makes it possible to drive the auxiliary machines via the LP shaft in order to lighten the load provided by the HP shaft.

  • Publication number: 20070137219
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for driving auxiliary machines of a double-shaft turbine engine with an LP shaft and an HP shaft, the said machines being installed in an accessory gearbox comprising a common drive shaft. The device is characterized in that it comprises a differential gear with a first input shaft and a second input shaft and an output shaft, the first shaft being connected via a selective coupling either to the LP shaft or to the HP shaft, the second input shaft being connected to the HP shaft, and the output shaft being connected to the drive shaft of the gearbox.

  • Publication number: 20070130959
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for driving first and second accessory machines of a double-bodied turbine engine with an LP shaft and an HP shaft. The system is characterized in that it comprises a first power train between the shaft of the HP rotor and the first machines arranged so as to mechanically drive the latter, and a first coupling means and a second power train between the shaft of the LP rotor and the second machines arranged so as to drive the said second machines. The system also comprises a second coupling means between the first power train and the second power train allowing the second accessory machines to be driven by the shaft of the HP rotor, particularly when the engine operates at high speeds. More particularly, it comprises a gearbox with at least two speed ratios, the first coupling means being arranged to selectively couple one or other of the two ratios or else to decouple the mechanical transmission from the shaft of the LP rotor.

  • Patent number: 7011599
Abstract: A speed reduction gear train comprising a sun gear, an annular gear, and planet gears meshing with the sun gear and the annular gear and mounted in a cage having axial housings between pairs of adjacent planet gears. The cage is connected to a cage carrier having axial arms received in the housings by radial pins disposed in the midplane of the cage by means of spherical finger connections allowing the cage carrier to tilt and to move axially relative to the cage.

  • Publication number: 20040192491
Abstract: A satellite (3) is supported on its shaft (1) through a large number of distributed bearings, particularly roller bearings (6) and the arrangement keeps a good force distribution capability due to similar stiffnesses of parts of the shaft (1) and a bushing (7) which forms the inner part of the satellite (3), facing each other along the length of the hole.
