  • Publication number: 20160025061
Abstract: A plasma ignition plug for an internal combustion engine has a thorium alloyed tungsten anode separated from a vanadium- or beryllium-alloyed copper cathode by a boron nitride ceramic powder insulator. A generally semi-spherical titanium emitter is electrically coupled to the anode and disposed within an end of the insulator so as to form an annular gap with a torus on the end of the cathode. The surface of the emitter protrudes slightly beyond the rim of the torus on the cathode. High amplitude pulses driven into the anode arc across the annular gap to the cathode at more than twenty-four spots simultaneously, generating a plasma ignition front.

  • Publication number: 20150346175
Abstract: In an apparatus and system for monitoring and communicating emissions data for a diesel engine, an exhaust gas analyzer uses infrared light to measure the quantity of trace gases and particulates in an exhaust gas outlet from a diesel engine. The gas analyzer includes a logic processor to interpret the measured data and a memory device to store the measured data. A radio transmitter, cellular data transmitter, or Smartphone transmits the measurement data. • Publication number: 20150345349
Abstract: A pollution control system for diesel engines includes a PCV valve and an oil filter positioned together in a canister. An open/closed state of the PCV is regulated by a controller, preferably wirelessly, responsive to sensed blow-by conditions, including pressure, temperature, composition, and/or flow rate. The controller also wirelessly receives measurements from an in-line blow-by gas sensor for regulating the PCV valve. The oil filter cleans particulate matter out of the blow-by gas, and condenses oil to return to the engine. The controller regulates the amount of blow-by gas vented through the system.

  • Patent number: 9051872
Abstract: An on-demand oxy-hydrogen fuel system includes a oxy-hydrogen generator which is incorporated into a standard internal combustion engine. A microcontroller activates the oxy-hydrogen generator when oxy-hydrogen is needed. The oxy-hydrogen is then mixed with blow-by gases from a PCV valve which are recycled through the intake manifold. The addition of the oxy-hydrogen provides a very efficient fuel source which can dramatically increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

  • Publication number: 20140096754
Abstract: A PCV valve and pollution control system for combustion engines. The PCV valve has an inlet and an outlet adapted to vent blow-by gasses from the crank case of a combustion engine. The inlet of the PCV valve is in fluid communication with a port on an engine oil cap on an engine oil inlet tube. The PCV valve may be integral with the engine oil cap or connected thereto by a hose. The outlet of the PCV valve directs vented blow-by gasses to a fuel/air inlet to the combustion chamber of the engine. The combination of the PCV valve with the engine oil cap facilitates installation of the system on a combustion engine.

  • Publication number: 20140096753
Abstract: A pollution control system for diesel engines includes a PCV valve and an oil filter positioned together in a canister. The PCV valve has an inlet and an outlet adapted to vent blow-by gas from a diesel combustion engine. A fluid regulator associated with the PCV valve selectively modulates engine vacuum pressure to adjustably increase or decrease a fluid flow rate of blow-by gas venting from the diesel combustion engine. The oil filter cleans particulate matter out of the blow-by gas, and condenses oil to return to the engine. A controller regulates the amount of blow-by gas vented through the system.

  • Publication number: 20140066692
Abstract: An amniotic infant blanket provides a feeling of fluid warmth coupled with the audible sounds of a human heartbeat. Behind a head or face portion of the blanket, a pocket is provided into which a bladder may be removably inserted. The pocket may be sealed by a zipper and has an aperture through which a hydrophone wire may pass. Likewise, the hydrophone wire may pass through the wall of the bladder without creating a leak therethrough. The bladder is filled with lukewarm tap water and the hydrophone connected to a playback unit that transmits signals that are transformed by the hydrophone into heartbeat sounds with which the infant is familiar.

  • Patent number: 8370048
Abstract: The pollution control system includes a controller coupled to a sensor monitoring an operational characteristic of a combustion engine, such as engine RPM. A PCV valve having an inlet and an outlet is adapted to vent blow-by gas out from the combustion engine. A fluid regulator associated with the PCV valve and responsive to the controller selectively modulates engine vacuum pressure to adjustably increase or decrease a fluid flow rate of blow-by gas venting from the combustion engine. The controller selectively adjustably positions the fluid regulator to vary the degree of vacuum pressure to optimize the recycling of blow-by gases.
