  • Patent number: 5139361
Abstract: A device for screwing to the floor from below, a mechanical part which has previously been placed against the underside of the floor of a motor vehicle body, provides for the mechanical part which is to be connected to be arranged so that at least one reference pin projects upwardly to engage a corresponding reference hole in a wall of the body floor from below. The reference pin has a through-hole. A sleeve with an upper end portion of smaller diameter is fixed to the upper side of the wall of the body floor, coaxially with the reference hole, and defines a threaded hole for engagement by a screw which can be inserted through the hole in the reference pin from beneath. The sleeve also includes a base portion of larger diameter for receiving the outer surface of the part of the reference pin which projects above the wall of the floor through the reference hole so as to allow the centering of the threaded hole which is to be engaged by the screw with the hole in the reference pin.

  • Patent number: 5040917
Abstract: A device is described for fixing to the floor of a motor-vehicle body, by screwing from above, a mechanical part which has previously been brought up to the floor from below. The mechanical part to be fixed carries at least one locating element which engages a corresponding hole formed in the body. The locating element has a threaded hole which is engaged by a screw on which the smaller-diameter portion of a sleeve can slide. The sleeve has a larger-diameter portion which is adapted to fit over the outer surface of that part of the locating element which projects through the corresponding locating hole in order to facilitate the centering and insertion of the screw in the threaded hole in the locating element.

  • Patent number: 5005857
Abstract: A rear suspension for motor vehicles includes a cross member (2) for supporting the suspension, which is fixed at its ends (2a), with the interposition of rubber blocks (3), to two side members (4) fixed under the floor of the motor vehicle. The suspension also includes, in association with each rear wheel, a lower arm (15) pivotably mounted at one end on the respective end (2b) of the cross member (2) and at the other end on the respective wheel support (14). The lower end (15) also has a part which extends forwardly from the cross member (2) and is articulated at its front end to an auxiliary support (21) provided with means for fixing it in an adjustable position under the motor vehicle body. The axes of pivoting of the lower arm (15) relative to the body and relative to the wheel support (14) are parallel and inclined at an angle I to the longitudinal axis.
