  • Patent number: 5227525
Abstract: A multistep process for the liquid phase ammoximation of carbonyl compounds with H.sub.2 O.sub.2 and NH.sub.3, at 60.degree.-100.degree. C., at 1.5-5 bar and in the presence of a catalyst based on silicon, titanium and oxygen, characterized in that:a) in one or more primary steps, the H.sub.2 O.sub.2 : carbonyl compound molar ratio ranges from 0.9 to 1.15 by mols and the carbonyl component conversion is carried out up to at least 95%;b) in a last (exhaustion) step the H.sub.2 O.sub.2 : carbonyl compound ratio is in a higher range, i.e. from 1.5 to 3.0 by mols.

  • Patent number: 5205975
Abstract: A process for producing large-size formed articles consisting of a modified polyamide, by polymerization of a mixture containing, besides the omega-lactam corresponding to the polyamide, the following reagents:a) a polymerization catalyst selected from the sodium salt and the potassium salt of said omega-lactam;b) a polyoxyalkylene polyamine having a molecular weight ranging from 400 to 5,000 and an amine functionality ranging from 1.9 to 2.5;c) an activator consisting of a polyisocyanate having all the isocyanic groups blocked with a lactam;said reagents being fed, at a temperature of from 105.degree. to 125.degree. C., to a mold heated to 130.degree.-170.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4940773
Abstract: A process for producing modified, impact-resistant polyamides showing an increased polymerization rate, which consists in polymerizing an .omega.-lactam in the presence of:(a) a mixture of an organic di-isocyanate and an organic mono-isocyanate, the isocyanate groups of both of which are blocked with an .omega.-lactam;(b) a poly-oxy-alkylene-amine having an aminic functionality lower than 3, and(c) an alkaline catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4939234
Abstract: Process of preparing modified polyamides endowed with improved mechanical properties, which process resides in polymerizing an .omega.-lactam in the presence of(a) a polyisocyanate having the isocyanate groups blocked by an .omega.-lactam,(b) a poly-oxy-alkylene-amine, and(c) an alkali metal catalyst.A further object of the invention is the products obtained by means of such a process.

  • Patent number: 4918194
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the synthesis of an N,N-dialkyl-hydroxylamine by reaction of the corresponding dialkylamine with H.sub.2 O.sub.2, said reaction being carried out in the presence of a catalyst based on titanium-silicalite.

  • Patent number: 4789741
Abstract: The invention concerns a two-step process for the synthesis of caprolactam by reaction of cylcohexanone-oxime with an excess of oleum, carried out in a first step with only a portion of the oxime and in the presence of liquid SO.sub.2, according to usual "cold" techniques, the amount of free SO.sub.3 in the oleum being equal to or greater than 50% by weight, wherein said "cold" step is completed by a second "hot" step, by adding a second portion of oxime, the ratio between said second portion and said first portion ranging from 0.5 to 1.2.

  • Patent number: 4356319
Abstract: A method of recovering the catalyst in active form from the acetic mother liquors from the synthesis of terephthalic acid. From said mother liquors, after removal of water, there is removed by evaporation an amount of from 70 to 90% of the CH.sub.3 COOH present therein. The concentrated liquor is cooled below 60.degree. C. and the solid which precipitates is collected and recycled for reuse in the systhesis. The liquid phase is extracted with water or with an aqueous acetic acid solution in the presence of particular coadjuvants such as isobutyl acetate, and the aqueous phase, which contains the recovered catalyst, is recycled to the original synthesis.
