  • Patent number: 6235064
Abstract: A dye-containing polarizing film having neutral color which comprises at least one disazo dye represented by the formula (I) in the form of the free acid wherein Me is a transition metal selected from copper, nickel, zinc and iron, A1 is phenyl or naphthyl which may be substituted or substituted. B1 is 1-naphthol or 2-naphthol residue which may be unsubstituted or substituted and in which its hydroxy group is adjacent to the azo group and is linked with the transition metal Me to form the complex, and R1 is a lower alkoxy; and at least two of other specific dyes, and the film causes no light to break through the film at dark state within the visible radiation wavelength region and is excellent in the polarizing activities as well as the durability to water and heat.

  • Patent number: 5740744
Abstract: A through-wall type automatic customer service apparatus is arranged in a partition wall in a financial institution. The body of the apparatus has a facade which passes through an aperture in the wall and is exposed to the outside of the wall, for operation by users. The facade is pivotably attached to the body and is movable between an open position and a closed position. A locking screw can lock the facade in the closed position and can be operated from the outside of the body in the wall. The apparatus also includes support arms for supporting the facade in the open position.

  • Patent number: 5609796
Abstract: A dye-containing polarizing film which comprises at least one dye selected from:dye represented by the following formula(1):Q1--N.dbd.N--Q2--X--Q3--N.dbd.N--Q4 (1)wherein Q1 and Q4 are phenyl or naphthyl group, Q2 and Q3 are phenylen group, X is azo or azoxy, and dye represented by the following formula(2): ##STR1## wherein Me is a transition metal selected from copper, nickel, zinc and iron, Q5 and Q6 are 1-naphthol or 2-naphthol residue, Y is azo or azoxy, R1 and R2 are hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or sulfo. The polarizing film exhibits polarizing activities not smaller than those of a iodine containing polarizing film, has excellent durability and does not cause light to break through the film by using several types of the specific dye in combination.
