  • Publication number: 20240072243
Abstract: A carbon composite for an electrode of a battery, a battery including the same, and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The carbon composite comprises a porous carbon material, and vanadium nitride particles formed on a surface of the porous carbon material, and provides improved performance of the battery including the same. The method of manufacturing the same is capable of preparing catalyst particles uniformly distributed on the surface of the porous carbon material without using harmful gas or strong acid.

  • Publication number: 20240072258
Abstract: A positive electrode active material for use in a positive electrode of a lithium-sulfur battery is provided. The positive electrode active material includes a) particles A having a first porous carbon material, at least part of which is crystalline, and catalyst particles deposited on the first porous carbon material; and b) particles B having a second porous carbon material, at least part of which is crystalline, and sulfur infiltrated into the second porous carbon material, wherein the particles A and the particles B have different morphologies.

  • Publication number: 20230139983
Abstract: A method for obtaining a collagen peptide from a starfish, an elastic liposome containing a starfish-derived collagen peptide, and a cosmetic composition containing the same are disclosed. Methods of using the collagen peptide or the elastic liposome are disclosed. The collagen peptide obtained from a starfish has excellent skin absorption rate and having anti-oxidation and wrinkle-improving activity. Thus, the collagen peptide may replace existing animal collagen to provide collagen with high extraction efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11390784
Abstract: Provided is an ecofriendly snow removal composition using a porous structure of calcium carbonate obtained by removing proteins from starfish to adsorb chlorine ions. The ecofriendly snow removal composition uses a starfish-derived porous structure to adsorb the chlorine ions contained in the snow removal composition, so it can minimize the effects of the chlorine ions on the corrosion on roads, facilities, vehicle bodies, etc. to reduce the environmental contamination in roadside trees, rivers, etc. and also display an equivalent deicing performance to the conventional snow removal composition using calcium carbonate. Further, the novel snow removal composition using starfish are ecofriendly and beneficial in the aspect of cost, as it utilizes starfish that are adversely affecting the ecosystem and difficult to dispose of.
