  • Publication number: 20040213682
Abstract: A hermetic compressor, in which a damping unit is mounted on an inner surface of a hermetic casing to stably and elastically support the hermetic casing and change a resonant frequency of the hermetic casing. The damping unit is provided at a predetermined position of an upper casing part of the hermetic casing to elastically support the upper casing part with predetermined elasticity. The damping unit has a mounting part at which the damping unit is mounted to the upper casing part, and an elastic support part to elastically support the upper casing part. The elastic support part has a flange part projected in a direction to a length which exceeds a plane aligned with a surface of the mounting part. The flange part thus elastically supports the hermetic casing in a state of being elastically deformed. The elastic support part also has a wing part to connect the flange part to the mounting part. • Publication number: 20040052661
Abstract: A joint structure for a refrigerant discharge tube of a hermetic reciprocal compressor having a connecting member fit around the refrigerant discharge tube, the connecting member having a shape corresponding to a connecting hole in a cylinder block, thereby allowing the connecting member to be press-caulked. The refrigerant discharge tube is directly connected to the cylinder block. The connecting hole is multi-layered and may be formed into at least two steps. The connecting member is pre-assembled in the connecting hole by transition-fitting. Accordingly, as the connecting member is press-fit in the connecting hole by a caulking-jig, the connecting member is expanded, and the connecting member is more securely fit in the connecting hole. Further, a thread portion having a pitch in a range of 2 to 5 threads is formed on an inner circumference of the connecting hole.

  • Publication number: 20030103843
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a crank shaft for a hermetic reciprocal compressor including the steps of providing a main shaft and a crank portion eccentric for a predetermined degree from the main shaft that are separately formed. The main shaft and the crank portion are joined through laser welding. The main shaft is a hollow pipe and the crank portion is made by sintering. The main shaft and the crank portion are connected, and an end portion of the main shaft is inserted into an annular groove formed at a main shaft connection side of the crank portion. Accordingly, the main shaft is a drawn steel pipe, and the crank portion is formed by sintering, thus the crank shaft becomes lighter and no post-process is needed. Therefore, the manufacturing process is remarkably reduced, and the crank shaft manufactured at a lower production cost.
