Abstract: A method for upgrading firmware (F/W) of a wireless communications device is capable of updating F/W at all times through a simple process by transferring, directly and wirelessly, new firmware required for the wireless communications device from a base station. In the F/W upgrade method, a user's identification of the wireless communications device and information required for F/W upgrade are transferred to the corresponding base station, and the current mode of the wireless communications device is converted into an F/W upgrade mode according to whether or not the corresponding base station allows the upgrade, which is determined based on the transferred information. Then, F/W of the wireless communications device is wirelessly upgraded by the corresponding base station.

Abstract: An error preventing system for card service interrupt signals in a personal computer using a plurality of card interface controllers, which includes at least two PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) cards, at least two PCICs (PCMCIA Card Interface Controllers) which each output an interrupt signal to service the respective PCMCIA card and operate a portable computer through this process, and a signal-correction unit which inputs the interrupt signal output from the PCICs and outputs the corresponding signals after processing the outputted interrupt signals of logic OR. For preventing an error and a system-halt while prohibiting the collision between signals to transmit the accurate card service interrupt signal in case each PCIC outputs a respective card service interrupt signal.

Abstract: A personal computer memory card international association card connector assembly, comprising a connector panel having a place for receiving a personal computer memory card international association card of type 3, plural pins to be connected electrically to personal computer memory card international association cards of type 1 to type 3, a groove for fixing a screw, and a protection cover having a shorter internal width than the electrical connection base of a personal computer memory card international association card, to prevent a personal computer memory card international association card of type 1 or type 2 from being incorrectly inserted into the space above a connector supporting every kind of personal computer memory card international association cards of type 1 to 3.
