  • Publication number: 20020066686
Abstract: A containment system encapsulates a sharp medical instrument. The containment system includes a container having an upper end for insertably accommodating the medical instrument. The container supports a pair of liquid components of a two-part hardenable compound which are separated by a rupturable divider. The components are mixed upon rupture of the divider caused by insertion of the medical instrument thereinto. The hardenable compound thereby hardens around the medical instrument, quickly and permanently encapsulating the inserted instrument.

  • Patent number: 6043327
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an anaerobic adhesive composition which includes an acrylate monomer; a coreactant monomer; and an anaerobic cure-inducing composition. The composition may also include a maleimide compound. Reaction products of compositions in accordance with this invention exhibit superior resistence to thermal depredation, such as under elevated temperature conditions.

Abstract: Method of forming highly sensitive, high resolution positive photoresist compositions that are developed from polycarbonates derived from t-diols and various diphenols and homopolycarbonates from t-diols, mixed with 2-10% of onium salts wtih complex metal halide counterions. The high sensitivity of the photoresist compositions is due to the thermodynamic stabilities of the resulting incipient dicarbocations and dienes.
