  • Patent number: 8936765
Abstract: An automatic analyzer having a reaction vessel in which an analyte is caused to react with a reagent; a probe for suctioning the reacted analyte from the reaction vessel; an analyzer unit for analyzing the reacted analyte; a transfer channel for transferring the reacted analyte suctioned by the probe to the analyzer unit 6; and a liquid-surface detector, connected to the reaction vessel and the probe via signal lines 1a and a pair of signal lines 4a and 4b, respectively, for detecting the electrical characteristics between the probe and the reaction vessel. A switch is located between the signal lines 4a and 4b that connect the liquid-surface detector to the probe, so that the switch can connect or disconnect the signal line 4a to/from the signal line 4b.

  • Publication number: 20120309099
Abstract: Provided is an automatic analyzing device including a sample container 2 for accommodating a sample 1 to be assayed, a dispensing probe 5 for dispensing the sample 1, and an electroconductive tip 11 removably mounted on a portion of the dispensing probe 5, the portion being to be dipped in the sample 1; wherein this analyzing device detects capacitance between the tip 11 of the dispensing probe 5 and a region having a ground potential 9 predefined as a reference electric potential in the analyzing device, and on the basis of a result of the detection, determines a mounted state of the tip 11 on the dispensing probe 5. A fall of the tip from the probe is thus immediately detected.
