  • Publication number: 20240171736
Abstract: In a method for filtering in video coding, first boundary pixel values of a subset of first reconstructed samples are buffered at a first node in a loop filter chain, a first filter and a second filter being applied to the first boundary pixel values, the first boundary pixel values being values of pixels at a frame boundary. Second boundary pixel values of a subset of second reconstructed samples are buffered at a second node in the loop filter chain, the second boundary pixel values being values of the pixels at the frame boundary. A loop restoration filter is applied on to-be filtered reconstructed samples based on the buffered first boundary pixel values of the subset of the first reconstructed samples and the buffered second boundary pixel values of the subset of the second reconstructed samples.

Abstract: The various embodiments described herein include methods and systems for coding video. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining encoded video data comprising a plurality of blocks and parsing the encoded video data for each block in the plurality of blocks without reconstructing an entire motion vector predictor (MVP) list. The method also includes first determining whether warped motion compensation is allowed for the block and whether warped motion compensation is enabled for a first spatial neighbor block; and determining whether to perform warped motion compensation for the block during a subsequent reconstruction operation based on the first determination. The method further includes designating the block for a warp extend operation or a warp delta operation in accordance with a determination to perform warped motion compensation for the block during the subsequent reconstruction operation.

  • Publication number: 20240172127
Abstract: A user equipment (UE), such as a mobile phone, may support multiple power classes. Power classes can define maximum output power levels for uplink transmissions. A base station of a radio access network (RAN) can, based on metrics reported by the UE, dynamically instruct the UE to switch to using a different power class. For example, the base station may instruct the UE to switch from using a first power class with a higher maximum output power to using a second power class with a lower maximum output power, in order to preserve battery life of the UE in situations in which the second power class provides sufficient output power for uplink transmissions to reach the base station.

  • Publication number: 20240167017
Abstract: A liquid yeast one- and two-hybrid high-throughput library screening method and use thereof changes the screening of solid medium to liquid culture solution screening, avoiding a large number of plate coating work, and avoiding the tedious work of identifying single colonies one by one, which not only saves experiment time, but also reduces the cost and workload; at the same time, the present invention also combines high-throughput sequencing technology to improve the analysis throughput of yeast hybridization screening work, and can also improve the automation level of analysis, and can greatly reduce false negatives. More importantly, the present invention can solve the phenomenon of protein self-activation. By changing to liquid screening, known protein interaction information can be successfully obtained, which provides a new opportunity for protein-protein interaction research.

  • Publication number: 20240167047
Abstract: Use of an indica rice OsRNR10 gene in enhancing rice root system development, and improving nitrogen use efficiency and yield, where sequences of the indica rice OsRNR10 gene are shown in SEQ ID NOs: 1 and 2. 82 IRAT261-carrying single segment substitution lines under the background of Huajingxian 74 are utilized to carry out a quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis. A nitrogen-response root system development regulatory factor OsRNR10 is further finely mapped. The indica rice haplotype OsRNR10 reduces the expression level, and enables indica rice to have a better root system architecture and a higher nitrate nitrogen uptake rate. By introducing an excellent allelic variation of OsRNR10 in the indica rice into japonica rice, the root system development of the japonica rice can be enhanced, and the nitrogen use efficiency and yield of the japonica rice can be improved.
