    Abstract: The present invention discloses a formaldehyde absorbent and a method for using the same, the chemical composition of the formaldehyde absorbent by weight percentage is, amino acid: 0.1-99.9%; DNA and RNA base 99.9-0.1%. The method comprises the following steps: a. dissolving the formaldehyde absorbent in solvent to form a solution or dissolving the formaldehyde absorbent in solvent and mixing the same onto a solid carrier; b. placing the solution or solid carrier in indoor space that contains formaldehyde; and c. contacting and reacting the formaldehyde-containing air with the solution or the solid carrier and then absorbing the same. The present invention not only achieves not only excellent performance in absorbing hazard gases in the air, but also features low-cost, and further causes no secondary pollution, which therefore creates great social and economical significance in improving quality of human life, safeguarding human health, and protecting environment.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an application of polyoxometalates with good water solubility in the preparation of disinfectant for sterilizing or removing formaldehyde. The present invention provides a sterilizing and disinfecting system utilizing oxygen in the air as an oxidizing agent, killing microorganisms via catalysis and oxidation, and particularly suitable for an air purification system. If the air is constantly introduced in, the disinfectant of the present invention can be used for a long time, without need of anti-viral drugs or peroxides having potential safety hazard, and without use of irritant substances containing halogen and alcohol having explosive hazard. Without using precious metals, the disinfectant system is easy to prepare and has low cost, dose not cause secondary pollution, and has a good application prospect.

The present invention provides a sterilization and disinfection system that uses oxygen in the air as oxidizer, kills microorganisms via catalyzed oxidation, and is particularly suitable in an air purification system. The disinfectant of the present invention can be used for an extended period of time insofar that air is continuously introduced, obviates the need for an anti-viral agent, also obviates the need for a peroxide that is potentially hazardous to safety, uses no halogen-containing irritating substance, and use no alcohol having risk of explosion. This disinfectant system that uses no precious metal is easy to prepare, low in use cost, and free of secondary pollution, and provides a good application prospect.
