  • Publication number: 20200113487
Abstract: A patient monitoring system is presented. Pressure change indications from a pressure-sensitive sensor pad are transmitted to a monitoring alert apparatus as patient status signals. The monitoring alert apparatus uses the received patient status signals to determine one or more patient statuses, which may include sleep safety assessment, durations of pressure contacts, blood oxygen level, breathing rates, heart rates, blood pressure, brief wetness, etc. The sleep safety assessment and the duration of pressure contacts are determined based on pressure changes detected at different pressure-sensitive sensing zones of the pressure-sensitive sensor pad. The monitoring alert apparatus determines whether to generate one or more alerts based on the determined patient statuses.

  • Patent number: 10517511
Abstract: The present invention relates to a patient off-bed notification system, which includes a pressure-sensitive sensor pad, a signal converter, and a signal transmitter. The pressure-sensitive sensor pad includes an upper conductive layer, a bottom conductive layer, and an insulating layer arranged therebetween, where the upper conductive layer and the bottom conductive layer can generate an electrical signal due to a pressure change. The signal converter is used to receive the electrical signal from the pressure-sensitive sensor pad and perform operational analysis to produce a corresponding patient status signal. The signal transmitter transmits the patient status signal from the signal converter to a server, and the server displays or/and stores corresponding information according to the patient status signal. Thus, patient's statuses in bed can be known at any time, and the harm caused when the patient leaves the bed alone can be minimized, thus effectively improving the work efficiency of caregivers.

  • Publication number: 20170048651
Abstract: A state determination apparatus for a care-receiver is provided, comprising: a communication unit and a protective unit. The communication unit includes at least one first antenna module and a first wireless communication module. The protective unit is configured for accommodating the communication unit and buffering external pressure on the communication unit to protect the communication unit. The state determination apparatus is configured for being disposed on a back of a cushion. The first wireless communication module sends a detection signal through at least the first antenna module so as to communicate with a radio frequency identity (RFID) tag used by the care-receiver. After sending the detection signal, the communication unit determines whether a response signal from the RFID tag is received or information of the response signal is read so as to determine a state of the care-receiver.

  • Publication number: 20150080819
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a diaper structure, which includes a diaper main body formed by a fabric layer, an anti-leak layer and an absorbent material layer sequentially from the inner side to outer side thereof, and a communication chip and a metal antenna attached to the outer surface of the anti-leak layer and connected with each other to form an RFID tag. Thus, when the absorbent material layer absorbs the urine passing through the fabric layer and the inner surface of the anti-leak layer is in contact with the urine on the surface of the absorbent material layer, the change in the relative permittivity of the anti-leak layer causes a change in the impedance value of the metal antenna and consequently a change in the wavelength of the electromagnetic wave signal transmitted by the RFID tag, thereby enabling rapid detection of a soaking wet condition of the diaper.

  • Publication number: 20110319845
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a diaper structure including two electrode strips, wherein the two electrode strips are disposed inside the diaper at a bottom position thereof and electrically connected to each other when both in contact with urine, and two metal button seats are disposed inside the diaper and are electrically connected to the two electrode strips respectively. Each of the two metal button seats has a first fastening portion disposed on the outside surface of the diaper and fastened with an electrical detection device, so that the two metal button seats are electrically connected to the electrical detection device via the two first fastening portions respectively for enabling the electrical detection device to send out a wetness signal when the two electrode strips are electrically connected to each other due to in contact with urine, thereby urging the caregiver to change the diaper structure immediately.

  • Publication number: 20110225329
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for simultaneously switching energy-saving modes of plural computer devices via a KVM switch including a CPU, a plurality of connection ports, a real-time clock (RTC) and a memory unit, wherein the memory unit stores a timetable containing at least one scheduled time and at least one corresponding energy-saving procedure each including a control instruction. The CPU reads the current time of the RTC and, after determining that the timetable contains a scheduled time corresponding to a current time, reads the control instruction in the energy-saving procedure corresponding to the scheduled time. Then, the CPU sends an energy-saving instruction to the computer device connected to each of the connection ports that are specified in the control instruction, thereby switching the energy-saving modes (e.g., a hibernation mode, sleep mode, OFF mode or ON mode) of the specified computer devices simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20110173355
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for setting and controlling a hot key area of a keyboard via a keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) switch electrically connected to the keyboard, a mouse, a monitor and a plurality of servers and provided therein with a flag and a hot key lookup table. When the KVM switch receives an instruction command for activating a direct hot key (DHK) state from the keyboard, the KVM switch sets the flag to an activated state for entering into the DHK state, and then sets a numeric key area and/or a function key area of the keyboard as a hot key area. Thus, when the KVM switch receives a management command matching with the hot key lookup table, the KVM switch executes a server switching procedure corresponding to the management command, thereby switching to a specified server and displaying a corresponding server image on the monitor.
