Abstract: An apparatus and method for application of a line of resin along a crease line of a garment for increasing the life of the crease line. The apparatus in one embodiment allows a simultaneous application of lines of resin along respective crease lines of one or more garments to provide an increase in productivity. The apparatus and method allows the operation of a source of a pressurised fluid source used in dispensing of the resin from one or more cartridges held on mounting apparatus to be achieved by an operator's hand which, at the same time, is used to hold gripping portion on the mounting apparatus to move the cartridges and mounting apparatus with respect to the crease line to apply the resin.

Abstract: An apparatus for the application of resin material along crease line of one or more garments simultaneously by providing means which allow at least first and second cartridges containing the resin material to be mounted in a spaced relationship so as to allow resin from each of the cartridges to be dispensed simultaneously. The resin can be applied in substantially less time than conventional systems which only use one cartridge at a time.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in the application of one or more lines of a fluid resin material onto crease lines of a garment to maintain the crease therein. The resin is typically applied from a cartridge as the cartridge is moved along the crease line. Apparatus is provided to support the garment with the crease line in position along a groove formed in the apparatus to allow the accurate location of the line of fluid resin material. The groove is formed along a face of one or more bodies of the support apparatus and the at least one groove is located at a spaced distance from a surface on which the apparatus is mounted for use and with which the at least one body contacts via one or more contact portions formed as part of, or connected to, the said at least one body. In one embodiment the support apparatus includes at least two bodies which are located at a spaced distance apart and in a substantially parallel relationship.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for the application of a ribbon of fluid material along one or more garment crease lines by relative movement between one or more cartridges which include a reservoir in which the fluid material is provided, and the garment, the one or more cartridges including a dispensing aperture in connection with the reservoir and through which the fluid material is dispensed. Movement means are provided in the one or more cartridges to encourage the fluid material in the cartridge to move towards the dispensing aperture and a pressurised fluid supply is connected to the one or more cartridges to selectively provide pressurised fluid to the movement means and hand operated user actuable control means are provided to allow the selective provision of the pressurised fluid. The provision of hand operation of the user actuable control means allows the apparatus to be significantly more compact.
