  • Patent number: 10054175
Abstract: A guide pin, for a disc brake assembly, comprises a head portion and a stem. The stem extends from the head portion along an axis and has a circular cross section, a first stem portion, and a second stem portion. The first stem portion is adjacent a tip of the stem. The second stem portion is between the first portion and the head portion. The first stem portion has a first radius from the axis and the second stem portion has a second radius from the axis. The second radius is less than the first radius. A surface is on the first and second stem portions. A distance is from a plane to the surface. The plane is parallel to the surface and the axis is in the plane. The distance is less than the second radius.

  • Patent number: 8793179
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for managing storage locations storing a physical commodity or physical commodities. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method includes receiving data associated with the physical commodity such that the data includes an order of a specific number of lots of the physical commodity. The method also includes tracking one or more lots of the physical commodity stored in the storage location based on the specific number of the lots. The method further includes transforming the order into fractional shares based on the tracked one or more lots of the physical commodity and a geographic premium associated with the storage location.

  • Patent number: 8200406
Abstract: A mechanism for reducing brake noise during braking of a vehicle. The mechanism includes controllers and methods that “hold” a currently applied braking torque rather than applying the operator-requested braking torque when a vehicle is traveling at a low speed and the operator-requested braking torque is within a predetermined range. The controllers and methods “release” the previously “held” braking torque and apply the operator-requested braking torque once the operator-requested braking torque is outside the predetermined range.
