  • Publication number: 20190125627
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for maintaining association of label information to an original medication container are disclosed herein. As such, transferring medication into a sterile field is facilitated with pre-printed and sterile labels for use once the medication has been dispensed into a sterile container within a sterile field. In one embodiment, a sterile label container includes at least one extension portion which is affixable to the exterior of a medication container. In another embodiment, RFID devices are employed and may be programmed with information relative to the medication.

  • Patent number: 10111808
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sterile labeling of medications and medical solutions including those in a first container having a sterile interior and a non-sterile exterior, the first container being received in a second container or membrane, at least one sterile printed label containing information specific to the medication or solution, provided in a third container having a sterile interior and a non-sterile exterior, the third container being removably affixed to the second container while maintaining association of the printed label to the contents of the first container. The medication or solution in the first container may be dispensed into a sterile container in the sterile field and one of the at least one sterile printed labels from the third container may be applied to the corresponding sterile container or medical accessory in the sterile field. The apparatus can further include packaging in which the first container is packaged.

  • Patent number: 6179644
Abstract: A network system is provided for transmitting electrical power and data signals between a plurality of device nodes. The system includes a trunk cable in which a pair of dedicated power conductors and a pair of dedicated signal conductors are embedded in an insulative cover. Modular connectors are electrically coupled to the cable conductors at each device node. Each connector includes a base module and an interface module. The base module is attached to the cable via insulation piercing members and thereafter remains resident on the cable. The interface module is mated with the base module and serves to transmit power and data signals between the base module and a networked device. Several types of interface modules may be utilized interchangeably to permit the base module and cable to accommodate various types of devices and device drop cables.

  • Patent number: 5553095
Abstract: A digital communication network carries high and low priority data. The network stations that produce high priority data are assigned to a first group of stations and stations that produce low priority data are assigned to a second group with the two group not being mutually exclusive. Activity on the network is divided into periodic intervals of the same duration. Network control information, that defines how access to the medium, is determined is broadcast to all stations during a first segment of a periodic interval. The network control information defines the length of the periodic interval and of the periodic interval segments, and defines how many stations are in each group. Then during a second segment of the periodic interval, every station in the first group is afforded an opportunity, in a predefined order, to transmit high priority data over the medium.

  • Patent number: 5491531
Abstract: Activity on a digital communication network is divided into periodic intervals, that are further subdivided into first and second phases during which different classes of data are transmitted. A media access controller for a station on the network has an interface that connects to an external device which supplies first and second classes of data for transmission over the network. A first memory stores the first class of data and a second memory stores the second class of data. The external device supplies a third class of data that may be transmitted over the network during either the first or second phases. The third class of data is held in a third memory. A transmitter connects the three memories to the interface in order to send data over the network. A control circuit regulates the transfer of data from the memories to the transmitter, with data being transferred from the first memory when the media access controller has access to the network during one of the first phases.

  • Patent number: 5452420
Abstract: A communications interface circuit couples a host processor to a pair of serial communications links, During power-up the interface circuit negotiates a set of operating parameters with the host processor through a shared memory to establish the optimal conditions under which message data is to be exchanged between the serial communications links and the host processor.

  • Patent number: 5283869
Abstract: A communications interface circuit couples a host processor to a pair of serial communications links. A shared memory is employed to pass message data and network management data between the host and the interface circuit, and each can interrupt the other through interrupt control lines. The shared memory stores a handshake segment that includes interrupt flags and acknowledge flags which enable a large number of different interrupt events to be efficiently serviced.
