    Abstract: A clamping apparatus for securing a workpiece is provided. The clamping apparatus includes a fixing base and a first and a second clamping device mounted on opposing sides of the fixing base. The first clamping device includes stacked clamping sheets, each of which is moveable and comprises an inclined clamping edge for contacting the workpiece. A support assembly supports the plurality of stacked clamping sheets; and an operating member is slidable relative to the support assembly and contacting the plurality of staked clamping sheets. The operation member is capable of moving at least one of the plurality of stacked clamping sheets relative to another one when the operation member slides relative to the support assembly, and moving at least one of the inclined clamping edge toward or away from the second clamping device to accommodate workpieces of varying sizes.

    Abstract: In an electronic device and a method of correcting time-domain reflectometers, two channels of a time-domain reflectometer are connected to a corrector using cables, and the two channels are enabled to transmit pulses. Parameters Step Deskew and Channel Deskew of the two channels are zeroed. Resistance values of the two channels are measured simultaneously, and the value of the parameter Step Deskew of one of the two channels is adjusted according to the Resistance values of the two channels. Times of achieving the same resistance value of the two channels are measured after the cables and the connector have been disconnected, and the value of the parameter Channel Deskew of one of the two channels is adjusted according to the times of achieving the same resistance value. The adjusted values of the parameters Step Deskew and Channel Deskew are displayed through a display unit.

When the first drive device is started, the first drive shaft is rotated to drive the joint body rotating around the first drive shaft; when the second drive device is started, the second drive shaft is rotated to drive the gear rotating so the joint body swings relative to the base.

    Abstract: A method controls motions of a mechanical arm using an electronic device. The mechanical arm includes an x-axis, a y-axis, and a z-axis. The method sets a step angle of a motor installed in line with the z-axis, and predefines angles of rotation as reference points regarding orientation of the rotating arm when rotated. The method further calculates a rotation angle of the rotating arm in a polar coordinate system, calculates coordinate motions of the x-axis and the y-axis if a free end of the rotating arm orientates to one of the reference points, and calculates an offset correction value of a pole origin position of the polar coordinate system. After correcting each of the coordinate motions and the pole origin position, the method controls the mechanical arm to move, and drives the rotating arm to reach another reference point according to a multiple of the step angle.

The device and method further analyzes if eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian matrix have pure imaginaries, to determine if the non-common-pole rational function of the S-parameters satisfies a passivity requirement.

Numbers of pole-residue, times for recursion and a tolerant system error of a rational function are generated for determining S-parameters. A rational function matrix composed of S-parameters is generated by performing a vector fitting algorithm, and an equivalent circuit is generated compatible with HSPICE format based on the generated rational function matrix.

The contours of the object are analyzed, and a central area of the object is established. By making the center of the image area of the image capturing device coincide with the center area of the object at least twice, the method records two positions of the mechanical arm, and calculates a total apparent displacement value of the object and a distance between the object and camera lens of the image capturing device according to the first position, the second position of the mechanical arm and the total apparent displacement value of the object. The method ensures accurate positioning of the mechanical arm.

In, the robotic arm control system, any three points A, B, and C of an object to be determined are picked, thereby creating an original coordinate system. A non-linear mapping relation of the original coordinate system and the operation coordinate system is calculated according to length ratios, an angular ratio, and a differential ratio of the difference of the length ratios to the angle between the line A-B and the line A-C, thereby controlling the movement of the robotic arm according to the non-linear mapping relation. The disclosure further provides a robotic arm control method.
