  • Publication number: 20130092189
Abstract: An appliance is disclosed for improving the accuracy of turbidity measurements. In an exemplary embodiment, the appliance includes a turbidity sensor and at least one processing device in communication with the turbidity sensor. The at least one processing device is configured to conduct a measurement of turbidity with the turbidity sensor exposed to air instead of water so as to provide a reference output from the turbidity sensor exposed to air; measure a turbidity of a fluid in the appliance during operation of the appliance with the turbidity sensor exposed to the fluid so as to provide a measurement output from the turbidity sensor exposed to the fluid; determine a temperature of the fluid; and apply an offset to the measurement output in order to provide an adjusted output, the adjusted output compensating for the difference in output of the turbidity sensor in water instead of air and for the temperature of the fluid.

  • Patent number: 7948574
Abstract: An exemplary bezel includes two generally L-shaped bezel parts and two generally I-shaped bezel parts. All the bezel parts are joined end-to-end to cooperatively define a window therebetween, and this assembly is configured to accommodate a display panel. A minimum area of a rectangular region that can be occupied by the two generally L-shaped bezel parts alone includes a central unoccupied portion sufficient in size to accommodate the two generally I-shaped bezel parts.

  • Patent number: 7949002
Abstract: A First-In-First-Out (FIFO) block to buffer a packet having a size is presented. The FIFO block includes a receiver to receive a data frame including the packet and overhead information, and to extract the packet from the data frame. A buffer has a plurality of memory locations to store the packet in a FIFO configuration. A buffer manager, in response to detecting a buffer low packet condition, stalls reads of the packet from the buffer.

  • Publication number: 20110037696
Abstract: A wheel mouse includes a base, an encoder, a wheel supporting frame, a wheel swing member, an encoder holder, a circuit board, and a plurality of tilt switches. The wheel supporting frame has a receptacle. The encoder holder is connected with the wheel swing member. The encoder is accommodated within the receptacle of the wheel supporting frame, so that the height of the wheel mouse is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20080100770
Abstract: An exemplary bezel (200) includes two generally U-shaped bezel parts (2009, 2010) and two generally I-shaped bezel parts (2019, 2020). Each of the generally U-shaped bezel parts includes a first bezel portion (2011), a second bezel portion (2012) opposite to the first bezel portion and a third bezel portion (2013) between the first and second bezel portions. One of the generally I-shaped bezel parts is connected between the first bezel portions and the other one of the I-shaped bezel parts is connected between the second bezel portions.

  • Patent number: 6471218
Abstract: In an active roll control system for a vehicle, anti-roll bars (26, 30) are provided with actuators (28, 32) which can provide a torque in the anti-roll bars to control vehicle body roll. Under certain cornering conditions when the vehicle is liable to over-steer, the pressure supply to the actuators is pulsed so that the front wheels of the vehicle tend to break away more easily, thereby reducing over-steer.
