  • Patent number: 11978713
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a flip chip assembly having a bump that reduces stress levels in a low-k dielectric layer in the flip chip. Rather than having a single, large area plateau that interfaces with a large corresponding opening of an insulating layer in the flip chip, the bump includes a plurality of much smaller pillars that interface with a corresponding plurality of openings in the insulating layer. In so doing, the low-k layer within the flip chip experiences much less stress and hence, fewer failures.

  • Patent number: 11961778
Abstract: A semiconductor device package includes a substrate having a top planar surface and a first semiconductor die electrically connected to the top planar surface of the substrate. The first semiconductor die and substrate define a tunnel and a first molding compound encapsulates the first semiconductor die and fills the tunnel. A second molding compound that is separate and distinct from the first molding compound is mounted on a top surface of the first molding compound. The first molding, when in a flowable state, has a viscosity that is lower than a viscosity of the second molding compound when it is in a flowable state.

  • Publication number: 20240108401
Abstract: A surgical instrument (10) includes a housing (20) defining a longitudinal axis and a first assembly (200) and a second assembly (300) operably coupled to the housing (20). The first assembly (200) includes a first function button (200b) pivotably coupled to the housing (20) about a first pivot (200p) and a first circuit (210) supported by the housing (20) and aligned with the first pivot (200p). The first function button (200b) includes a first arm (201) on a first side of the first pivot (200p) and a second arm (202) on a second side of the first pivot (200p). The first circuit (210) is aligned with the cutting picot between the first arm (201) and the second arm (202) and includes a first actuator (211) on the first side of the first pivot (200p) and a second actuator (212) on the second side of the first pivot (200p).

  • Publication number: 20210100438
Abstract: An endoscope includes a handle, an elongated body, an image sensor, a lens, a light source disposed within a distal portion of the elongated body, a processor, and a controller. The processor is disposed in electrical communication with the image sensor and the light source, and is configured to analyze at least one characteristic of a first image captured by the image sensor. The controller is disposed in electrical communication with the processor, and is configured to supply current to the light source based on the at least one characteristic of the first image analyzed by the processor.

  • Patent number: 6642633
Abstract: A power management system comprises a busboard for selectively managing the power from a forty-two volt source and a fourteen volt source in a vehicle dual voltage electrical system. The busboard has a lower plate with recesses for receiving variously configured busbars. The busbars have upright terminals for electrical connection with the voltage sources. The power from the voltage sources is directed along the busbars to other terminals extending at assorted locations from the busboard. An upper cover fits over the lower plate and covers the recesses. The upper cover has an area accommodating the forty-two volt source and housings for partially enclosing the other terminals. One of the housings forms a forty-two volt jump start post. Another of the housings forms a fourteen volt jump start post.

  • Patent number: 6234429
Abstract: A wire harness protector comprises a trough having front and rear walls, a bottom wall, and a cover attached to the trough by a living hinge. The front wall of the trough has one or more locking tab sockets with lateral tab-receiving openings. At least one locking tab is connected to the front edge of the cover by a tab living hinge in alignment with the socket on the trough. Guide blocks are provided on the cover to automatically align the cover to the trough and each locking tab with each associated socket when the cover is closed on the trough. Each locking tab can be independently moved on its own living hinge into the front-facing lateral socket opening to independently lock all of the tabs on the cover in their sockets.

  • Patent number: 6178106
Abstract: A power distribution center (PDC), such as those used in automotive vehicle electrical systems, has device for pivotally connecting a power supply terminal with the PDC such that pivoting movement of the terminal relative to a PDC housing inserts the terminal through an aperture formed in the housing and into contact with a bus bar retained within the housing. The pivoting connection between the terminal and the PDC allows the terminal to be securely connected with the bus bar without the need for any tools, and provides a degree of alignment to guide the terminal into the aperture. It also provides leverage so that a worker can easily generate sufficient force to insert the terminal into connection with the bus bar in the presence of a force resisting insertion, such as may be generated by a spring clamp or other device for urging the terminal into contact with the bus bar.

  • Patent number: 5795193
Abstract: A power distribution box (PDB) such as for use in an automotive vehicle, has a busbar adapted to retain a power connection bolt in connection with the busbar, thus permitting the busbar/bolt combination to be inserted from below into an operative position within the PDB housing. This results in the busbar and the bolt being securable within the PDB housing without the need for more costly alternatives such as insert molding or separate fabrication of a receptacle block. The busbar includes a generally U-shaped bolt retention bracket with latch tabs projecting inwardly to engage the bolt head and hold the bolt captive within the bracket.
