  • Publication number: 20120259618
Abstract: A method for comparing text data reads two patent documents comprising varying text sections. The method compares characters of a first text section in a first patent document with a corresponding second text section in a second patent document, and acquires a same sub-character string that has a maximum matching length and matching positions of the first and second text sections. The method marks characters before the matching positions of the first and second text sections as different characters. The method displays a comparison result list of the comparison between the first patent document and the second patent document on a display device.

  • Publication number: 20120158599
Abstract: In a method for analyzing an office action of a patent application using a computing device, an office action of a patent application that is downloaded from a patent office website is parsed using predetermined regular expressions (RE). The patent information of patent application is extracted from the office action according to predetermined keywords of the patent information if the office action fails to be parsed by the regular expressions. A regular expression of the extracted patent information is generated according to determined rules, and is stored into the storage system, to parse another office action using the generated regular expression.

  • Publication number: 20050043859
Abstract: An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system and control method thereof is provided. The system contains a plurality of UPS modules connected in parallel, and each module is equipped with full uninterruptible power supply capabilities, and redundant control logic and functional capabilities for self-initiated role detection, master arbitration and parallel processing. The UPS system is self-initialized through a master arbitration process to elect a virtual master among the peers for maintaining inter-unit signaling between parallel UPS modules and controlling the parallel operation. If the virtual master is failed, other UPS modules will initiate the role detection and master arbitration to re-elect a new virtual master. Parallel operation is accomplished without any external controller; the system can be operated with only one UPS module; distribution of adequate resource to each module is properly arranged, thus the risks of system-level single-point failure are much reduced.

  • Publication number: 20050021171
Abstract: A mold design and production management system includes a server (2), client computers (4), design computers (5), machining computers (6), testing computers (7), and customer service computers (10). The server receives mold design requirement sheets submitted by customers from the client computers, and transmits the sheets to the design computers for mold designers to evaluate. The mold designers draw up design drawings of a mold if a customer accepts evaluation results of a corresponding mold design requirement sheet. The server sends the design drawings to the machining computers for operators to machine various parts of the mold and assemble the parts into the finished mold. The testing computers record mold testing information when the mold is being tested. The mold is delivered to the customer when it is satisfactory. Then, the customer service computers reconcile relevant accounts after payment by the customer is confirmed. A related method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6803679
Abstract: A parallel redundant power system and a method for control the same, wherein the power system is composed by UPS modules with outputs coupled in parallel to supply power to a load through a bus. The control method employs the P−&ohgr; and Q−V slope lines of the droop method to perform phase locking and current sharing. Moreover, the method further utilizes the internal impedance of the UPS in accompaniment with a current shift method to simulate an actual inductor being coupled to the output of the UPS module so as to satisfy the droop method. Therefore, the drawbacks otherwise caused from actual inductors such as the large size and heave weight are eliminated.
