The process apparatus includes a carrying fixture and a separating fixture. The carrying fixture has a top surface and a bottom surface opposite to each other and has at least one positioning pillar. The separating fixture has a pushing portion. The panel-shaped object has at least one positioning hole and is carried on the top surface. The positioning pillar is inserted into the positioning hole to position the panel-shaped object. The pushing portion is adapted to move from the bottom surface toward the top surface and protrude out of the top surface, such that the panel-shaped object is pushed up by the pushing portion to be separated from the carrying fixture. In addition, a process method adapted to the process apparatus capable of pushing a panel-shaped object is also provided.

    Abstract: A driving method for rendering subpixels of each pixel of a display is provided. The display has a plurality of first pixels and a plurality of second pixels. Each second pixel has a first color subpixel and a second color subpixel, but lacks a third color subpixel. Each first pixel has a second color subpixel and a third color subpixel, but lacks a first color subpixel. The first color subpixel, second color subpixel and third color subpixel are used to represent gray levels of a first color, a second color and a third color respectively. Processes of rendering the subpixels of each pixel are performed based on positions, saturations and brightness of neighboring pixels, such that quality of image displayed on the display could be ensured even though each first pixel lacks the first color subpixel and each second pixel lacks the third color subpixel.

    Abstract: A method for converting input RGB data signals to output RGBW data signals for use in an OLED display is disclosed. In the OLED display, each pixel has three color sub-pixels in RGB and one W sub-pixel. Input RGB data signals in signal space are normalized and converted into input data in luminance space. A baseline adjustment level is determined from the input data and is used to compute baseline adjusted data in luminance space. After being converted from luminance space into signal space, baseline adjusted data in RGBW are represented by N binary bits presented to the four sub-pixels. To suit the color characteristics of the display, color-temperature correction to the output signals is also carried out. In luminance space, the maximum color-temperature corrected output data fall within the range of 0.4/k and 0.5/k, with k being the ratio of W sub-pixel area to the color sub-pixel area.

    Abstract: Various arrangements of color sub-pixels in a group of pixels for use in a color display are disclosed. The same group of pixels is repetitively arranged in rows and columns in the color display. In particular, each group of pixels has four pixels arranged on the four quadrants of a rectangle or square. A pixel group may have two sub-pixels in R, two sub-pixels in G, two sub-pixels in B and two sub-pixels in W, but each of the pixels has two different color sub-pixels.
