  • Publication number: 20170299724
Abstract: The disclosure relates to enhancing performance at a device that implements a stand-alone global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver. In particular, a GNSS-enabled mobile device may obtain positioning data from one or more non-satellite sources and determine satellite signal quality in a surrounding environment. As such, in response to determining that the environment surrounding the GNSS-enabled mobile device is a weak satellite signal environment, the GNSS-enabled mobile device may trigger a process to provide the positioning data obtained from the one or more non-satellite sources to the device that implements the stand-alone GNSS receiver such that performance at the device that implements the stand-alone GNSS receiver may be enhanced in poor satellite signal environments.

  • Patent number: 7597604
Abstract: The present invention provides a PDP structure including a first substrate, a second substrate and a Waffle barrier rib structure located between the first and second substrate. The Waffle barrier rib structure includes three first barrier ribs having different width and a plurality of second barrier ribs perpendicular to the first barrier ribs. The second barrier ribs are located between the two first barrier ribs, and connect the wider structure of the two first barrier ribs. Therefore, discharge spaces are formed. Because of different width, the height difference of the barrier rib structure is formed after thermal process. Hence, gas can pass through the barrier ribs structure between the front and the back substrate sealed together.

  • Patent number: 7393457
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for making a shadow mask for an opposed discharge plasma display panel by etching one lateral surface of a metal slab to produce a plurality of parallel and equidistant barrier ribs along the vertical and horizontal directions on the lateral surface and a discharging cell by enclosing every four adjacent barrier ribs. A shadow hole is formed at the middle of each discharging cell and etched through the metal slab, and at least one groove interconnected to the shadow holes is produced on another lateral surface of the metal slab by utilizing a rolling process or a stamping process. The adjacent grooves are interconnected with each other, and a plurality of air guide channels is formed on another lateral side, such that a shadow mask can be made in a simple and fast manner, chemical pollutions caused by a traditional double-sided etching can be minimized, and the product yield rate and the manufacturing cost can be effectively improved and lowered.

  • Publication number: 20080042574
Abstract: A plasma display panel is provided. The plasma display panel includes a front plate, a back plate, a shadow mask, and a discharge destructive film. The shadow mask is located between the front plate and the back plate. The discharge destructive film is formed in a predetermined pattern between the shadow mask and the back plate. The discharge destructive film increases the firing voltages of some parts of the back plate. The discharge distance between the front plate and the back plate is accordingly increased. Thus, the luminous efficiency of the plasma display panel can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20080042573
Abstract: A plasma display panel is provided. The plasma display panel includes a front plate, a back plate, a shadow mask, and a first adhesive layer. The shadow mask is located between the front plate and the back plate. The first adhesive layer is formed between the shadow mask and the front plate. The shadow mask is adhered to the front plate via the first adhesive layer. Thus, noises generated during plasma discharge processes in the plasma display panel can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070176558
Abstract: The invention discloses a plasma display panel (PDP). The PDP grounds an exposed transparent conductive layer to the inner component thereof, so as to shield off electromagnetic interference (EMI). Accordingly, there is no metal structure in the second protective layer formed on the transparent conductive layer, such that the second protective layer can be easily attached onto the transparent conductive layer. Therefore, the manufacturing of PDP is getting much easier, and the yield rate will then increase.

  • Patent number: 6864632
Abstract: An front plate structure for a plasma display panel is described. In accordance with the present invention, a protruding space pad structure is formed on the dielectric layer or protective layer of the front plate. The space pad is used to form the height difference on the surface of the front plate, about 3 ?m to 15 ?m. The height difference forms gas channels between the front plate and the discharge region to improve the performance of the vacuuming and refilling gas steps.
