Abstract: A mail information management method and associated apparatus are provided. The mail information management method may include: running a set of program modules on a host server system, the set of program modules being configured to provide a shared mailbox; receiving a request and creating the shared mailbox for predetermined members of the shared mailbox in response to the request, wherein the predetermined members includes at least one portion of a plurality of users of the host server system; and regarding replying to a previous mail in the shared mailbox, copying each sent mail, if any, of each member of the predetermined members into the shared mailbox, to share the each sent mail with all of the predetermined members.

Abstract: When performing resource management between different service providers, a first interface and a second interface are provided simultaneously on an electronic device for connecting to a first service provider and a second service provider, respectively. The first interface is arranged to display the resource list of the first service provider as icons, and the second interface is arranged to display the resource list of the second service provider as icons. When a specific icon on one of the interfaces is selected and then dragged to the other interface, resource transmission between the first and second service providers may be activated.

Abstract: A method of managing icons is used on a screen of an electronic device which displays a first icon and a second icon. While dragging the first icon, the first and second icons are displayed on a first region of the screen and a group symbol is displayed on a second region of the screen. The first icon is dragged onto the group symbol and then released for creating a new group which contains the first icon. A group icon associated with the new group is then displayed on the second region of the screen.

Abstract: A surveillance system including a plurality of network video recorders (NVRs), a plurality of network video capturing devices and a plurality of streaming media presentation devices (SMPDs) is provided. The NVRs can receive and store digitized data packets, as well as transmit video/audio streams, event notifications, authorization codes and control signals. The network video capturing devices, each connected to a corresponding NVR among the plurality of NVRs via a network, can capture video/audio data and providing the digitized data packets by encoding the captured video/audio data. The SMPDs are connected to the plurality of NVRs via the network and can play captured video/audio data and alerting messages associated with the event notifications.
