  • Patent number: 8233291
Abstract: A single-stage AC to DC conversion device includes an energy storage unit, a magnetic unit, and a switch unit. The magnetic unit electrically connects the energy storage unit with the switch unit, and has a core, a first winding, a second winding, a third winding, and at least one output winding. The first winding couples with the core and transfers a first electric energy to the core. The second winding couples with the core and stores a second electric energy in the energy storage unit. The third winding couples with the core and transfers the second electric energy to the core. The output winding couples with the core that transfers the first electric energy and the second electric energy, and outputs a third electric energy through the output winding.

  • Patent number: 7675241
Abstract: A lighting apparatus includes a lighting module, a feedback control circuit, and a DC-to-AC circuit. The lighting module comprises a first lighting unit, a second lighting unit, a first transformer, a second transformer and a third transformer. A first end of a first port of the first transformer is connected to a first end of the first lighting unit, a first end of a first port of the second transformer is connected to a second end of the first lighting unit, a second end of the first port of the second transformer is connected to a first end of the second lighting unit, and a first end of a first port of the third transformer is connected to a second end of the second lighting unit. The lighting apparatus uses serial connection of the lighting units to reduce the number of transformers and still have the feedback control circuit.

  • Patent number: 7274158
Abstract: A system for driving a lamp module (13) includes a converter (11), a driving circuit (12), and a pulse width modulation (PWM) controller (14). The lamp module includes a plurality of lamps. The converter converts a received voltage to a direct current (DC) voltage. The driving circuit converts the DC voltage to an alternating current (AC) voltage. The PWM controller is connected between the converter and the lamp module, for regulating the DC voltages outputted from the converter according to current flowing through the lamps of the lamp module. In one embodiment, the system includes a bus inverter controller. The bus inverter controller is connected between the driving circuit and the lamp module, for regulating a working frequency thereof and controlling the AC voltage outputted from the driving circuit when the lamps are turned on. The system has a reduced number of PWM controllers and a relatively low cost.
