  • Publication number: 20100084287
Abstract: An anomaly diagnosing apparatus and method for a gas sensor which includes a heater control section; a measurement section which outputs a detection signal for detecting an internal resistance of the gas sensor through a solid electrolyte via connection terminals and the electrodes within the gas sensor and which measures the internal resistance of the gas sensor based on a response signal input via the connection terminals in response to the output of the detection signal; and a diagnosing section which heats the solid electrolyte by use of the heater control section, obtains, after the start of heating, a first time required to reach a first resistance and a second time required to reach a second resistance different from the first resistance, and determines whether or not the gas sensor is anomalous by comparing a predetermined threshold value and a ratio of the first to second times.

  • Patent number: 7683388
Abstract: An image pickup device is characterized by including a plurality of pixels having a plurality of photoelectric conversion units, convex interlayer lenses with respect to incident light, the convex interlayer lenses being arranged correspondingly to a photoelectric conversion devices and color filters being arranged for each color on the interlayer lenses correspondingly to the photoelectric conversion devices, wherein the color filter is formed to match the shape of the interlayer lens and the top surface thereof is substantially flat. This configuration reduces the amount of light which is incident on the gaps between adjacent microlenses and passes through the color filters at the boundary of pixels, decreasing color mixture of camera image.

  • Patent number: 7620969
Abstract: This invention provides a program information display control apparatus and method, a remote control device, a program, and a storage medium, which can simultaneously display the contents and detailed information of specific programs that follow predetermined rules such as a time band, genre, and the like. To this end, detailed program information associated with each of programs to be displayed on an EPG is acquired from an antenna (1101) and tuner (1102). The acquired program information is stored in a memory (1150) via a decoder (1103). A viewer designates programs, details of which are to be displayed, using a remote controller (12), and the memory (1150) is searched for detailed program information of a plurality of designated programs. An image controller (1121) simultaneously displays a plurality of pieces of program information associated with these designated programs at their display positions on the EPG displayed on a display unit (1122).

  • Patent number: 7619879
Abstract: In a convertible notebook/tablet computer with a dual-swivel hinge, an arrangement for communicating to a user a preferred rotational direction for pivoting about a z-axis, entirely without wiring or lights and in a manner such that at most only one rotational direction is communicated at a time. Preferably, this is accomplished via one or more windows, disposed on a surface of the hinge, that permit an arrow to be visible in accordance with a preferred rotational direction that a user needs to pivot the monitor/lid with respect to the keyboard based on the rotational direction originally traversed.

The silicon-containing functional group is represented by general formula: —SiX1X2X3 or —SiR1X1 X2 (wherein, X1, X2 and X3 respectively represent a hydrolytic group and may be the same as or different from each other, and R1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted organic group having 1 to 20 carbons). If the silicon-containing functional group is —SiR1X1 X2, the curable resin further contains intramolecularly a polar component that is one of urethane, thiourethane, urea, thiourea, substituted urea, substituted thiourea, amide, and sulfide bonds, and hydroxyl, secondary amino and tertiary amino groups.

  • Patent number: 7536707
Abstract: A visual communications system and a method of controlling the same for pausing the screens of two terminals at quite the same image. Video communications terminals receive the same channel in their respective broadcast program receiving units. A first video communications terminal temporarily stores the video of the received channel in the temporary storage memory. When a user pauses operation of the first terminal, it temporarily stores a screen pause time obtained by adding a predetermined time to the current time, and transmits a screen pause command and the screen pause time to a second video communications terminal. The second terminal pauses the video at the screen pause time if possible in time. Otherwise, it pauses the video immediately, and transmits a response with its own image pause time to the first terminal. The first terminal displays an image corresponding to the image pause time of the second terminal memory.
