    Abstract: Provided is a display device that individually corrects luminance of an image to be displayed in a part of an image display area and an image to be displayed in the other area. The display device includes a display unit to display an entire image, and a luminance correction controller to correct luminance of the entire image. The entire image is an image in which a first image displayed in a first display area being an area except a second display area is superimposed by a second image displayed in the second display area that is set in a part of the image display area. The luminance correction controller respectively corrects the luminance of the first and second images by using the first and second luminance correction coefficients.
