An electric current having a magnitude in a predetermined range is fed stepwise to a light emitting element (33) of a transmission optical link (3), a frame signal which includes an electric current value code indicative of the magnitude of the electric current fed to light emitting element (33) is simultaneously delivered to a receiver (20) through optical fiber (5) from a transmitter (10).

    Abstract: The data input device comprises a tablet portion made of a two-dimensional position-sensitive photodetector and a planar display element laid one on the other, and a light emitting pen forming a light spot on a light-receiving surface of the position-sensitive photodetector. The locus of the movement of the light emitting pen is displayed on the surface of the planar display element at correspond positions in accordance with the output of the two-dimensional position-sensitive photodetector, and the contents of the display provided on the planar displaying element are allowed to be delivered for subsequent processings.

    Abstract: The position detector comprises a semiconductor layer of i type amorphous silicon layer and a P type amorphous silicon layer is formed on one surface thereof and an N type amorphous layer is formed on the opposite surface. A transparent resistance layer is formed on one surface of the semiconductor layer. Collector electrodes are provided at the sides of the resistance layer for deriving out a position signal.
