  • Publication number: 20230366497
Abstract: A connector includes a connector body and a retainer. The connector body includes a first opening and a second opening. The retainer includes a first leg and a second leg. A second end part of the retainer is temporarily locked at a temporary locking position that is further separated from a first end part of the retainer and is displaced in an insertion direction of a first pipe relative to a restriction position, which is a position to restrict detachment of the first pipe. When the first pipe is inserted into an insertion hole, temporary locking of the second end part is released, and the second end part moves to the restriction position due to a restoring force generated by elastic deformation of the retainer.

  • Publication number: 20230151915
Abstract: A connector includes a connector body and a retainer. The connector body includes a first opening portion and a second opening portion. The retainer includes a first leg portion, a second leg portion, and an intermediate portion that is elastically deformable in an open manner so that a distance between the first leg portion and the second leg portion is widened. An end surface of the first opening portion includes a first guide surface that guides the first leg portion in a direction where the distance is widened when a force in an insertion direction is applied to the first leg portion. An end surface of the second opening portion includes a second guide surface that guides the second leg portion in a direction where the distance is widened when a force in an insertion direction is applied to the second leg portion.

  • Publication number: 20230099741
Abstract: Provided is a connector to be connected to a first pipe including a bulged portion. The connector includes a retainer. The retainer is movable between a standby position and a restraining position. The retainer includes a locking leg and a biasing leg. The locking leg includes a locking part to be locked to a connector body when the retainer is in the standby position and when the retainer is in the restraining position. The locking leg moves radially outward by contacting with the bulged portion, to thereby release locking of the locking part. The biasing leg is elastically deformed radially outward by contacting with a leading end portion of the first pipe, which is located on a leading end side with respect to the bulged portion, to thereby bias the retainer in a direction toward the restraining position.

  • Publication number: 20220397221
Abstract: A connector includes a connector body having a hollow channel, and a retainer configured to prevent a pipe inserted into the hollow channel from being removed using a stopper piece. The retainer body lies along the outer peripheral surface of the retainer attachment portion. A bearing allows the retainer body to rotate from a temporary locking position to a main locking position. A detection piece passes through a detection hole and projects into the hollow channel when located in the temporary locked position, so as to be pushed in an axial direction by a bulge of the pipe. An inclined surface of the detection piece inclines with respect to the axial direction such that a pushing force can be converted to a radially outward force. A first energy conversion mechanism serves to convert the energy converted by the inclined surface to the rotational energy in the locking direction.

  • Patent number: 7464970
Abstract: A pipe joint for connecting a rigid pipe with a retaining flange to a tube includes a pipe joint body formed with a through bore and a window in communication with the bore. A tube connector portion may be connected at an angle to a rigid pipe connector portion. A pipe retainer provided with locking pieces can be located in two positions relative to the pipe joint body. The first position allows the retaining flange to pass through the locking pieces. The second position retains the rear of the retaining flange and prevents inadvertent removal of the rigid pipe. The retaining pieces engage the rear of the flange through the window communicating with the bore. The locking direction of the retainer can be altered relative to the tube connector portion to suit different applications and ease assembly.

  • Patent number: 6343772
Abstract: A hose clamp includes a clamping body formed by bending a band-shaped spring plate into a generally circular shape flexibly deformed into a contracted state and a spread state. The clamping body is attached to a hose before the hose is connected to a pipe. A holder is mounted on the clamping body to hold the clamping body in the spread state in which the clamping body is loosely fitted with an end of the hose. The holder releases the clamping body from the spread state so that the clamping body is deformed into the contracted state in which the clamping body clamps a junction of the hose and the pipe. A positioner positions the clamping body at the end of the hose, the positioner including a clamp retainer attached to an outer circumference of the clamping body and a locking element which engages the hose to prevent the clamping body from displacing axially and circumferentially with respect to the hose.

  • Patent number: 6206330
Abstract: A holding member (1) for holding a pipe (P), and a mounting member (2) for fixing the pipe (P) to a body panel (B) are previously connected together by a thin connecting portion (9). The holding member (1) and the mounting member (2) in the integrated state are set in a forming die. The connecting portion (9) is collapsed with the closing of such the die that the holding member (1) and the mounting member (2) are separated from each other. A coupling member (3) is formed in this state. Accordingly, the working efficiency can be improved as compared with the case where the holding member and the mounting member are individually set in the die. The holding member (1) and the mounting member (2) are coupled together by the coupling member (3). Since the coupling member (3) is formed of a rubber material, vibration caused in the pipe (P) can be prevented from being transferred to the body panel.

  • Patent number: 6154927
Abstract: A hinge suitable for use in tube clamps for tubing in automobiles includes two members rotatably connected together. A pair of pin shafts protrude from either one of the two members, each pin shaft having an outer wall. A pair of support holes are formed in the other member, the pin shafts being inserted into the respective support holes so that the two members are rotatable relative to each other. Each support hole has a peripheral wall, a plurality of abutment portions protruding from either one of the peripheral wall of each support hole or each pin shaft. A plurality of escape recesses are formed in the other of the peripheral wall of each support hole and each pin shaft so as to locationally correspond to the respective abutment portions.

  • Patent number: 3967093
Abstract: An electric heater is disposed horizontally along the free level of heat medium liquid within a vapor chamber, said electric heater being surrounded by a layer of porous material with void therebetween so that the heat medium liquid arises by capillary action and a thin film of the heat medium liquid formed in the void in the state of face contact to the electric heater is heated and vaporized. The lower portion of the porous material layer being immersed in the heat medium liquid and the other portion of it being exposed above the free level of the heat medium liquid thus the vapored heat medium fills the vapor chamber immediately.
