  • Patent number: 5413034
Abstract: An abrasive type vertical grain milling machine comprises a perforated cylindrical body which serves to define an outer periphery of a grain milling chamber and which has a plurality of vertically arranged resistance members projected radially into the grain milling chamber so as to impart resistances to motions of the grains in a circumferential direction of an abrasive type roll assembly, an amount of projections of each of the resistance members being made to be adjustable, and further has projection amount adjusting mechanisms for adjusting independently the respective amounts of projection in the radial direction of the plural resistance members located in different vertical positions, and therefore, it is possible to adjust independently the resistance imparted to the motions of the grains within the grain milling chamber in each of the upstream-side region and downstream-side region of the grain milling chamber.

  • Patent number: 5395059
Abstract: An abrasive type vertical grain milling machine in which each of spacers comprises a boss portion fitted on a main shaft and a plurality of arm portions extending from the boss portion in the radially outwardly and serving to induce bran removing air into a grain milling chamber through spaces between the circumferentially adjacent arm portions, is capable of discharging bran produced in the grain milling chamber with high bran discharging power and has little possibility that the bran removing power is reduced during operation.

  • Patent number: 5394792
Abstract: An abrasive type vertical grain milling machine comprises a perforated cylindrical body having at least one perforated arcuate plate member which is formed therein with both a first group of elongated bran-removing holes serving to lead grain to be milled in a direction from an inlet side toward an outlet side of a grain milling chamber when the grain is rotated in the direction of rotation of a grain milling roll assembly within the grain milling chamber and a second group of elongated bran-removing holes serving to lead the grain to be milled in a direction from the outlet side toward the inlet side of the grain milling chamber when the grain is rotated in the direction of rotation of the grain milling roll assembly within the grain milling chamber, and therefore, grain can be milled highly efficiently and the progress of breakage of grains caused at the time of grain milling can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 5119721
Abstract: A washed rice producing apparatus includes a frame; a first tubular member, arranged within the frame, for defining a rice-washing chamber therein for washing polished rice introduced therein from one end thereof, the rice-washing chamber having a discharge end portion; an agitating member, arranged in the first tubular member, for agitating the polished rice in the rice-washing chamber; a spiral member supported on the frame to be rotatable about an axis thereof for transporting washed, polished rice discharged from the discharge end portion of the rice-washing chamber while dewatering the washed polished rice; and a second tubular member provided in the frame to be rotatable about the axis and to externally surround the spiral member for defining a dewatering chamber in cooperation with the spiral member, the second tubular member including a circumferential wall having many penetrating holes formed therethrough for draining off water separated from the washed polished rice transported by the spiral member.

  • Patent number: 4463665
Abstract: Disclosed is an improvement in a pressure plate adjusting device for grain whitening apparatus which is capable of automatically and precisely adjusting the pressure of a pressure plate disposed at a rice outlet of a whitening chamber. The automatic adjustment has been made possible by the provision of reversible electric motor mounted on one end wall of a casing enclosing a pressure control screw shaft, a weight mounted on said screw shaft and a guide rod for guiding the movement of said weight, and a control unit producing a control signal having relation to the conditions of whitening action of grains within the whitening chamber and controlling the direction and the amount of rotation of said motor.
