  • Patent number: 11918905
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes controlling movement of any of first objects arranged on a field, controlling movement of a second object fed to any of the first objects, and carrying out control such that a first object satisfying prescribed proximity relation with the second object among the first objects acquires the second object. The controlling movement of a second object includes ejecting the second object to the field from a prescribed position in a direction determined based on an accepted first user operation input and moving the second object over the field in accordance with an accepted second user operation input. The controlling movement of any of the first objects moves any of the first objects toward the second object ejected to the field and moves any of the first objects toward the second object that moves over the field.

  • Publication number: 20230421842
Abstract: An information processing system 1 comprises: a presentation unit 32 for presenting display images relating to a plurality of kinds of content identification information to a user; an acquisition unit 33 for acquiring content identification information chosen by the user from among the content identification information presented to the user; a content determination unit 13 for determining playback content corresponding to the content identification information chosen by the user; a playback unit 34 for playing the playback content; and a flag setting unit 14 for, in response to the playback content having been played, associating a Viewed flag indicating that the relevant playback content has been played with the user's identification information. The content determination unit 13 determines the playback content corresponding to the content identification information chosen by the user in such a way that the playback content varies in detail depending on the Viewed flag.

  • Patent number: 11759700
Abstract: Only a first parameter associated with an active object is incremented in accordance with an exercise amount of a user. In accordance with the exercise amount of the user, a second parameter is incremented even when the first parameter has not reached an upper limit, and the second parameter is incremented also when the first parameter has reached the upper limit. An in-game reward according to the active object with which the first parameter is associated is given to the user when the first parameter has reached the upper limit.

  • Patent number: 11748961
Abstract: A client device can display various augmented reality and virtual reality images to a user. For example, the client device captures images of an external environment and identifies objects in the environment. If an object satisfies a virtual environment criterion, the client device displays a window to a virtual environment at the location of the object in the environment. In another example, the client device includes a light assembly that can generate light. If the user turns the light assembly on, virtual objects displayed in the environment will gather to a region highlighted by the light from the light assembly. In another example, the client device estimates depth information of an object in the environment. The client device then displays a virtual object in the environment based on the depth information and may also display the virtual object interacting with an object in the external environment.

  • Publication number: 20230276085
Abstract: An example of a storage medium accessible by a server stores a plurality of video content items that are assigned sequential numbers. The storage medium stores premise information, which is information related to another video content item of the plurality of video content items other than the at least one video content item. The storage medium stores history information. The server receives, from the terminal, information that indicates a specified video content item that is specified by the user from among the plurality of video content items. Based on the premise information associated with the specified video content item and the history information of the user, the server generates an additional content item that describes the other video content item corresponding to the premise information. The server transmits the specified video content item and the additional content item to the terminal.

  • Publication number: 20230173389
Abstract: A player may send virtual characters to travel to remote locations in a parallel-reality game. The remote locations are virtual locations corresponding to real-world locations other than where the player is located. The player can therefore send a virtual character to a virtual location without traveling to the corresponding real-world location themselves. A travel time and a path the character will travel along to reach the remote location is determined. Once the virtual character has reached the remote location, it stays there for a duration of time. Client devices of players near the remote location may display a visual representation of the virtual character. The virtual character may collect virtual items and interact with other players and return to the player with any virtual items it has collected or been given.

  • Publication number: 20230128475
Abstract: A non-transitory storage medium encoded with a computer readable information processing program executed in a computer of an information processing apparatus including an image pick-up unit that picks up an image of a real space is provided. At least one computer is configured to perform operations including generating an augmented reality image by superimposing a virtual space image corresponding to a virtual space that has been picked up by a virtual camera arranged in the virtual space and a real space image corresponding to the real space that has been picked up by the image pick-up unit on each other, recognizing a feature included in the real space image, and controlling, when the real space image includes a feature as a result of recognition, a character object to perform an action at a position associated with the feature included in the real space image.

  • Publication number: 20220297010
Abstract: An in-game object is changed from a first state to a second state on the basis of elapse of a first period. When the in-game object is in the second state, an in-game reward is given to a user. When a first condition is satisfied by the in-game reward being given, the in-game object is changed from the second state to a third state. The in-game object is changed from the third state to the first state in accordance with elapse of a second period. A remaining period of the second period is shortened in accordance with a parameter regarding an exercise amount of the user.

  • Patent number: 11285389
Abstract: Even when a movement command input is not performed from a player, a player character is moved in a predetermined direction in a virtual game space, and a game screen including the player character is scrolled so as to follow movement of the player character. In response to determination being made that a touch operation is detected in a state in which the positional relationship between a predetermined object and the player character satisfies a predetermined condition, the movement direction of the player character is temporarily changed to a direction containing a direction component opposite to the predetermined direction.

  • Patent number: 10751618
Abstract: User saved-data storage means S19 stores user saved-data which is generated as a result of a game play performed by a user. Digest saved-data storage means S48 stores a plurality of pieces of digest saved-data which are previously generated so as to be associated with predetermined scenes, respectively, in a game. Game start means S14 starts the game process without using the user saved-data and the plurality of pieces of digest saved-data. Game resuming means S12, S13 starts the game process by using the user saved-data. Digest game start means S4 starts the game process by using any of the plurality of pieces of digest saved-data. Saving means S19 generates the user saved-data, only in the game process started by the game start means or the game resuming means.

  • Patent number: 10695676
Abstract: An example of an information processing device generates a game field for each of a plurality of game stages. The information processing device executes a game process of controlling a player object in response to an operation by a user in a game stage for which the game field has been generated. The information processing device determines whether the user has cleared or failed to clear the game stage. In response to a determination that the user has cleared the game stage, the information processing device starts the game process for a next game stage while maintaining a state of the player object at the time of clearing. On the other hand, in response to a determination that the user has failed to clear the game stage, the information processing device starts the game process for a next game stage.

  • Patent number: 10434402
Abstract: An input from an input device including a first input section and a second input section is received. A direction of movement of a player object is set based on the input from the first input section, and a direction relating to an action of the player object other than the movement is set based on the input from the second input section. Further, an image taken by a first virtual camera is displayed on a first display area, based on the direction of movement of the player object, and an image taken by a second virtual camera is displayed on a second display area, based on the direction relating to the action of the player object other than the movement. The first virtual camera and the second virtual camera are present in the same virtual space, and take images from different positions and/or different directions in the virtual space.
