  • Patent number: 4583861
Abstract: A parallel light beam having a predetermined diameter is projected onto an aluminum deposition film formed on a semiconductor wafer in a direction normal to the wafer surface. Light reflected by the aluminum deposition film is converted into reflected light intensity data by a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements arranged in a spherical surface with the center thereof at the center of the parallel light beam incidence spot. The reflected light intensity data are stored in a RAM in a microprocessor. The data stored in the RAM are displayed as a reflected light intensity distribution plot on a display unit for comparison with a standard reflected light intensity distribution plot, whereby the bonding property of the aluminum deposition film is judged.

  • Patent number: 4378685
Abstract: A rolling mill includes at least one roll carrying a sleeve loosely on the barrel. The sleeve is inclined slightly by applying radially inward forces at two spaced positions along the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve to displace or to restrict displacement of the sleeve in the axial direction. The force applying points are independent of rotational direction of the sleeve, so that only one unit is needed even where there is reverse rotation. By controlling the relative value between the two forces, the mill can be given a powerful crown controlling capacity for workpieces of varying width, and the sleeve guiding unit is sufficiently durable to withstand high speed rolling during mass production.

  • Patent number: 4177586
Abstract: A yellowing resistant label to be attached to articles of clothing, bedclothes, sundry goods or the like which comprises a fabric base and a porous nylon resin layer formed on the surface of the base, said nylon resin coating composition being prepared by dissolving a nylon resin in a solution of calcium chloride in methanol and adding thereto 5 to 25 PHR of a plasticizer for a nylon resin such as 2-ethylhexyl p-hydroxybenzoate, the label is prepared by applying the nylon resin coating composition onto the fabric base, dipping the coated base into water in order to leach out methanol and calcium chloride from the coating composition and then drying the resultant.

  • Patent number: 3937732
Abstract: A method for collecting a solid product from a liquid phase or liquid phase-gaseous phase feed stock. A solid forming zone is provided for accommodating the liquid phase or liquid phase-gaseous phase feed stock having a density greater than that of a liquid to be fed. A precipitation zone is provided at its lower portion with a feed port for feeding the liquid and a discharge port for taking out the solid product and communicating with the solid forming zone at its upper portion. The precipitation zone is provided therein with stirring means by which the solid product and liquid are contacted with each other countercurrently. The solid product is washed with the liquid and the density relation between the liquid phase and the liquid is reversed as the latter moves upwardly in the precipitation zone. Solid oxamide may be produced from cyanogen.
