Abstract: To provide a fabric and clothing having a low irritation to patients with atopic dermatitis with high productivity. The fabric is produced as a fabric for patients with atopic dermatitis, which is contactable with an affected area of patients with atopic dermatitis and comprises an ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH)-series fiber comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol-series copolymer having an ethylene content of 25 to 70% by mole, in which the surface of the EVOH-series fiber is occupied by the ethylene-vinyl alcohol-series copolymer in a proportion of not less than 70%, wherein the hydroxyl group amount of the EVOH-series fiber surface is 20 to 70% by mole, the Young's modulus of the EVOH-series fiber is not more than 60 cN/dtex, and the single fiber fineness of the EVOH-series fiber is not more than 5 dtex.
