    Abstract: A holding device for a sash member (11) formed in a recessed shape in cross section. The device comprises rotating pressing members (47, 47) having overall lengths (L) longer than a distance (D) between the inner faces of both side walls (11a, 11b) of the sash member. The rotating pressing members are rotated by drive sources (44, 101) to press the inner faces of both side walls of the sash member by their both ends so as to rapidly hold the sash member.
