  • Patent number: 11927225
Abstract: A sliding spline shaft device of the present invention includes a male spline and a female spline that is fitted to the male spline in an axially slidable manner, and at least one of the splines has a surface processed layer. The surface processed layer includes an undercoat layer, an intermediate layer containing phosphate, and a topcoat layer containing solid lubricant, in this order. The undercoat layer contains iron nitride and/or iron carbide. Thus, the surface of a base material has high hardness. As a result, microscopic deformation of the sliding surface is reduced, and increase in a real contact area is suppressed, whereby stick-slip is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6534579
Abstract: A resin composition is a transparent, low-water-absorption polyolefin-based resin composition containing a sorbitol-based derivative of a particular structure, whose polyolefin-based resin having crystallinity of 0% to 20% shows haze of not more than 10%, total light transmittance of not less than 80%, when measured in accordance with ASTM D1003 using an article 3 mm thick molded therefrom as the test specimen, and shows water absorption of not more than 0.1% after 100-hour immersion in water at 23° C., or whose polyolefin-based resin comprises a cyclic olefin-based polymer comprising a cyclic olefin of a particular structure. Preferable examples of the polyolefin-based resin include the aforesaid cyclic olefin-based polymer and a polycyclohexane-based resin.

  • Patent number: 6165573
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-layer laminate consisting essentially of:(A) a layer formed from an ethylene/cycloolefin random copolymer which is a copolymer of ethylene and a cycloolefin represented by a specific formula (e.g., tetracyclododecene), or a layer formed from a cycloolefin resin which is a graft modified product of the ethylene/cycloolefin random copolymer, or a layer formed from a cycloolefin resin composition comprising the cycloolefin resin and a polyolefin, and(B) a barrier layer consisting essentially of ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, polyvinylidene chloride, or polyacrylonitrile, with the barrier layer having an oxygen permeability, as measured at 23.degree. C. and RH of 0%, of not more than 10 cc(STP).mm/m.sup.2.24 hr.atm; said multi-layer laminate having a moisture permeability of not more than 0.2 g.mm/m.sup.2.24 hr.atm and an oxygen permeability of not more than 5 cc(STP).mm/m.sup.2.24 hr.atm. This multi-layer laminate has excellent gas-barrier properties and high rigidity.

  • Patent number: 5532030
Abstract: A polyolefin multilayer laminate in which a first layer (A) made of a cycloolefin-based resin, such as an ethylene/cycloolefin random copolymer resulting from copolymerization of ethylene and a cycloolefin represented by the formula (1) given below, or a cycloolefin-based resin blend and a second layer (B) made of an olefin (co)polymer or a composition containing it are laminated. This laminate can be used as a packaging material which is superior in the interlayer adhesion, shapability, moistureproof property, transparency, flexibility, easiness of hand-cutting, heat-sealability and dead-hold property. Formula (1) comprises ##STR1## in which n and q are 0 or 1, m is 0 or any positive integer, R.sup.1 -R.sup.18 and R.sup.a and R.sup.b denote each H, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, wherein R.sup.15 -R.sup.18 may form, by combining with each other, a monocyclic or polycyclic ring, which may have double bond(s), and wherein R.sup.15 -R.sup.16 may have terminal-located alkylidene group.
