  • Patent number: 8044987
Abstract: The invention provides a printer in which a lock lever comes into contact with a roller shaft of a platen roller in upper open grooves disposed in a frame and controls the position of the upper portion of the upper open grooves so that the platen roller is supported in a predetermined position of the frame and reliably comes into contact with a thermal head disposed to be opposite to the platen roller, and a lock lever member disposed so as to position a joint member for joining the upper open grooves and close to a bottom plate of the frame in a print portion in which the platen roller and a thermal head come into pressure contact with each other.

  • Publication number: 20110072995
Abstract: A printer includes a platen roller that is detachably supported on a support section that is formed in a frame, and a head unit that is supported on the frame and can be moved in a direction in which the head unit is brought into pressure-contact with the platen roller, The printer also includes a regulating member that is movably supported on the frame, and the regulating member has a regulating section that regulates a shaft of the platen roller to deviate from the support section and a pressing section that is arranged on the opposite side to the regulating section, with the head unit interposed therebetween. A first plate spring that presses the head unit against the platen roller and a second plate spring that presses the pressing section so as to bias the regulating member in a direction in which the regulating section can regulate the shaft are provided in an area on the opposite to the platen roller, with the head unit interposed therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20050024473
Abstract: A thermal printer is provided that is capable of automatically adjusting a thermal head properly and of performing high-quality image printing by making the contact pressure of the thermal head on the platen roller uniform. A first elastic member 12 elastically urges a head supporting part 5a on the side of a first arm part 6, and a second elastic member 13 elastically urges the head supporting part 5a on the side of a second arm part 7, at positions equidistant by dimension D from a central position of the head supporting part 5a in its longitudinal direction. The urging force of the first elastic member 12 and the urging force of the second elastic member 13 are different from each other.

  • Patent number: 6292449
Abstract: A disk is rotated by a spindle motor. The spindle motor is controlled such that the disk is rotated at a constant linear velocity (CLV) against a recording head. A signal read by a reproducing head is stored in a time-axis expansion and compression memory. When a signal is written into the time-axis expansion and compression memory and when a signal is read therefrom, the time axis of a signal read by the reproducing head is compressed or expanded according to the track position of the reproducing head so as to match the time axis obtained at a constant linear velocity.
